Napa Valley Expo RV Park

Overview

The Napa Valley Expo RV Park serves as a practical home base for exploring California’s premier wine country. Located on the grounds of the Napa Valley Expo, this facility offers a clean and secure environment for travelers. It operates as a year-round destination, though it often reaches capacity during major events like the Napa County Fair. For many RVers, it provides a rare opportunity to stay in a paved, full-hookup site within walking distance of the vibrant city center.

Location & Surroundings

The park is uniquely positioned in the heart of the city of Napa. Unlike more rural campgrounds, the surroundings are decidedly urban, bordered by the fairgrounds and local neighborhoods. You are just blocks away from the Napa River, which features scenic walking paths and a peaceful atmosphere. This central location eliminates the need for long drives after a day of wine tasting, as many of the region’s top destinations are accessible by foot or a short ride-share.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is designed for efficiency and ease of use. Guests have access to full hookup sites that accommodate both 30 and 50-amp electrical needs. The layout consists primarily of back-in and pull-through asphalt spaces that are level and well-maintained. On-site facilities include:

  • Clean restrooms and hot showers for guest convenience.
  • On-site laundry facilities that are helpful for long-term travelers.
  • Reliable Wi-Fi access throughout the parking area.
  • A pet-friendly policy that welcomes travelers with four-legged companions.

The gated entry provides an added layer of security for guests staying in this metropolitan setting.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Staying here puts you at the doorstep of the Oxbow Public Market, a culinary hub featuring local vendors and artisanal foods. You can also easily reach the Napa Valley Wine Train depot for a vintage locomotive tour through the valley. Downtown Napa offers dozens of tasting rooms, boutique shopping, and world-class dining. For those seeking outdoor activity, the nearby Riverfront Promenade is ideal for an evening stroll to watch the sunset over the water.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is ideal for travelers who prioritize convenience and accessibility over a traditional wilderness camping experience. It is perfect for those attending events at the fairgrounds or travelers who want to explore the downtown Napa culinary scene without worrying about parking a large rig. Because of its urban location and proximity to attractions, it is best suited for couples, foodies, and concert-goers who want a secure, functional place to park while they spend their days immersed in the culture of the valley.

We stayed for 3 days at the park. The park was clean and trash emptied regularly. The bathroom and laundry room lights were not working. One of the two bathrooms was not working. The road noise next to the park was fairly loud. Groups of RV campers arrived and partied late into the night, irrespective of quiet hours. Yet, there was no phone number to call outside of regular work days and hours. We would not stay here again.

Super clean, green, beautiful spot right next to Napa. The people and staff are so nice, they go above and beyond to help. We had a little emergency with our RV and they helped solve it in no time. Really cool folks.

Stayed one night passing through. Clean small ~34 sites, FHU RV Park. Pull through & back-in sites. Easy website reservation system. Close walking distance to downtown. Two shower/toilet combo rooms, laundry. No wi-fi signal near the road. This Park is along Silverado Trail so sites nearer to the road will hear traffic. This park is closed most of spring & summer. This park worked and we enjoyed downtown. I would try to find other accommodations in the future, and most likely would have to.

The place was very clean, quiet and well maintained. You cannot have any tile of campfire which is a bit of a bummer. Excellent location. Walking distance to downtown!

Roomy well kept RV park near downtown Napa. No cable hookup but does have 2 washers/dryers in good working order and only charges $1.50 per load! Very cosmopolitan patrons, no full timers.
