Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Fishing is the primary draw here, with the narrows being famous among locals for walleye and yellow perch. Anglers can spend hours on the lake or cast from the shore near the bridge. Beyond the water, the area is excellent for birdwatching and wildlife photography, especially during the migration seasons. Visitors often enjoy exploring the local shoreline trails or simply relaxing on the sandy beach areas. The nearby Lake Manitoba Narrows Game Bird Refuge offers a glimpse into the diverse local ecosystem.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is best suited for avid anglers and boaters who want to be just steps away from the water. It is also an excellent choice for families seeking a traditional lake summer vacation with the convenience of on-site dining and supplies. NEVER OPEN!! RESTARUANT MENU IS BAD!! GROSSLY OVERPRICED!! LODGE SMELLS OF MUST AND MOLD!! Very sad. An area like this in the middle of Manitoba can't find an investor that would run this business properly. The previous owners drove this place into the ground and it doesnt look like it will recover. The Narrows really is a hidden gem, its really too bad.

I camp out here and have never had an issue with the food or the people working at the lodge, great people to work with

Great potential however the rooms needed a LOT of work. When checking in was told no internet, no TV and no restaurant. The bathroom fans did not work leaving the place super musty, and there was a hole in the bathroom wall. Door knobs were in disrepair making it difficult to unlock the room. While rooms were clean there were few outlets that could be used to personal devices. Service was 50/50 on who you talked to, with some staff being super friendly and nice and others rude and with out knowledge of the job. Overall would most likely not stay again.

The hotel room is very run down. It was not clean. The shower curtain was full of mold. The bathroom wall was dirty with dust and streaks due to humidity from running the shower and having no fan. The door locks were in need of repair. The window air-conditioned had insulation around it which you could easily push thru to the outside. The furniture (table and shelves) were miss matched, old and in need of repair. There were coffee stains on the wall and coffee grounds on the floor behind the furniture. To access the restaurant you had to go thru a door at the end of the hall and this door was always locked. As it was we planned to go to the restaurant for Sunday breakfast and it was closed due to no staff. There is no wifi service. You have to pay for ice. The staff that we did interact with were irritated and not pleasant to talk to. The outside deck had no furniture available. The deck itself was missing safety railings and you had to be careful not to step on a soft piece of wood for fear of going thru the deck. The view and lake was beautiful but the accommodations for 125.00 per night was not even a 1 star quality.

We rented a cabin for our entire family for the weekend. It is a beautiful place. The Cabins are very clean. All you need was supplied at the cabin except for food of course. When we arrived the only issue we had was the water heater for hot water had blown an element and we called early the next morning about the issue and a plumber was dispatched with an hour. It is quiet, the grounds are very clean, we rented a couple of kayaks and a canoe and paddles and life jackets were supplied and like new. We had a hot tub with the cabin. It is kept very clean. Will definitely be renting this place again in the future.
