I made the mistake of taking my wife through the Water Gap on a weekend. My original planned stopping point of Peters, NJ (Wallpack Bend) was all full. We had to push on down river. All of the spots at Hamilton were full as well except the last one. I was starting to think we would be island camping without a privy...not good. The site we had was not to steep up the embankment and was really nice. My wife enjoyed stopping there.
