Nice park to visit. Many little spots to picnic lunch, take in a view or go fishing. Lots of fishing. Lake was beautiful.

Big fish and good guides. Fishing with a guide makes a lot of difference if you are not familiar with the stream. All catch and release below dam for a couple miles or so. River is a bit more crowded than I like but biggest trout of my life makes me think it's ok to be in company .. got witnessed..

By far, one of the best lakes in NM. Great fishing (bass, trout, and salmon +. Fantastic for boating, jet skis, tubing, and water skiing.

This is a beautiful State Park. Registration and reservations ahead highly recommended. In the upper main Park at Dam lake area you can rent house boats, fishing is also available with a license. License can be purchased for week ,season or dau use. Very reasonable price $ 28.00 for out of state 5 days. Really enjoyed this campground gravel packed sites. I'd only recommend 40 ft or smaller rigs ,ours is 40 ft and we stayed at Cottonwood campground sites. We could pull into pull-thru but had to back out of site. The main State Park sites areas were way to small area for our comfort. Make sure you have Water in your takes, dump before you arrive, dump after on way out. Forgot a grocery item the little store next to Sportman bar has essential food items, the Sportman bar makes a great burger. You can buy your fishing license with CASH at the Fish and Float shop...
