Needles KOA Journey
Overview
See that lush oasis in the desert? It's no mirage, it's the Needles KOA.
See that lush oasis in the desert? It's no mirage, it's the Needles KOA. At the edge of the Mojave Desert, hand-laid rock walls grace this surprising spot bursting with vibrant bougainvillea, eucalyptus, mesquite and palm trees. Historic Needles is close to the casinos of Laughlin, Nevada, and the scenic ghost town of Oatman, Arizona. There's plenty of life at this KOA, where the clubhouse (with a stone fireplace) is a popular gathering spot for potlucks, bingo, card games and holiday parties. The campground store offers award-winning salsa and red-chile marmalade. Stop by the gift shop for Route 66 items. Pool: Open all year. Max pull thru: 80 feet. Your hosts: Bill & Carla Sandberg.

This park was perfect for our cross country trip . We were having vehicle issues due to the 111 degrees and the owner Carla gave us helpful information. The Park was well kept and easy access to I -40. We would stay there in the future and would recommend it as a friendly place to stay. Five plus!👍

Clean, peaceful, accommodating, and affordable. A perfect one night stop during our trip from Ventura, California to Flagstaff, Arizona. Friendly staff and residents. Pool was clean and refreshing. Plenty of laundry machines and dryers. Great water pressure and temps in the bath house and the RV. Loved the dog walk area and the wild life. We saw three geckos, several quail, and a night hawk. All three of my kids loved the swings and the tether ball.

Nice place, laundry facilities, pool and sites are great. The store with Route 66 items is awesome; staff is great. Wonderful sun rises and sunsets. We stayed in RV site 3.

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Campground was quiet and our site had a great view of the desert and city. Bathroom was clean. Price was reasonable. This was our second visit and we will be back. The location is perfect for our adventures.

We were tired after driving all day and needed a place to rest. Also wanted to watch football. After dark we found that we had a view of town, excellent TV reception and a hot shower. -- Good stop, will put this in our travel journey and stop next time we are by. -- thanks
