We can't say enough good things about our stay at the New Bern KOA. Our whole group had a very pleasant stay. We even extended to stay an extra night. Our family stayed at a campsite and the rest of our group was split to 2 different types of cabins. From the moment we pulled in, it was clear this campground is something special. The staff greeted us like old friends, and their warmth never wavered throughout our visit. Every team member went above and beyond to make us feel truly at home. The entire campground was spotless. Bathrooms and showers were pristine, and the grounds were beautifully maintained. You can tell they take pride in every detail. Whether you're traveling solo, with kids, or as a couple, there's something for everyone. From kayaks and fishing to the pool and crafts, the activities were thoughtful and fun—perfect for making memories. What truly sets New Bern KOA apart is their incredible support for hurricane evacuees. We were among those seeking refuge during a storm, and the staff welcomed us with open arms. They were flexible, understanding, and went out of their way to ensure everyone felt safe and cared for. It wasn’t just a campground, it was a haven. The sense of community here is unmatched. Fellow campers were friendly, and the environment was peaceful and uplifting. It’s the kind of place that restores your spirit. If you're looking for a campground that blends comfort, cleanliness, and genuine compassion, New Bern KOA is it. We’re already planning our return and next time, it’ll be for pure relaxation, not evacuation!

If you are considering places to camp in the area, look no further. You found it! This place is the best! Great place to bring your kids, bikes, dogs or just a couples weekend. Pool is great for all ages. The bathroom is spotless. Highly recommend this place!

The staff is super friendly, the campground cleanliness is outstanding. The location is superb. The spacing between RV sites is good, not close to each other. There are many dog stations through out the campground. The bath houses are conveniently located. The historic town of New Bern, birthplace of Pepsi Cola, is less than 10 minutes away (by car).

Beautiful views of the river! Great river access and spectacular variety of birds! Such a well maintained campground with high visibility staffers always friendly and eager to help! Yet chill enough to know when to leave you alone! Very nice pool area! The campsites are pretty spacious and very clean ! Best dog park! Spacious, clean, and we love the cedar instead of buggy stinky grass! Met many campers who frequent this KOA and we know why! Can’t wait to return!!!

It has been an incredible month filled with transformation and growth. My husband Ed and I embarked on a new journey, staying at the New Bern KOA Holiday since the end of February. We were in search of a new home, and this temporary haven provided us with the comfort and peace we needed. We made the bold decision to relocate from Lancaster County, PA to the New Bern area, where my husband took on an exciting new role as a Chef at Cork Wine Bar & Bistro. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff here. You welcomed us with open arms, making us feel like we were part of the family, even if it was just for a short time. Your kindness, love, and friendship touched our hearts. This campground is a true gem, beautifully maintained and filled with natural beauty. Our beloved pup Sammy thoroughly enjoyed his strolls around the grounds, making new furry friends along the way, including Gus, Rosie, Brinkley, and Pepper. As we prepare to bid farewell to this temporary home, we are thrilled to have found our new permanent residence just up the road in Bayboro. Once we are settled, I look forward to returning with cupcakes as a small token of our appreciation. Thank you all again for being beacons of hope and inspiration during our transition. You will be deeply missed. ❤️ Peggy & Ed Ebright
