Grassy area campsites are well spaced, clean bathrooms with showers 50 cents for 4 minutes at night, turn the bathroom lights off, and the grassy area is outstanding for viewing the stars. Tested the water, and It is pristine. Best time to go before school gets out.

Don & Karen (Troy & Kim) could not have been more accommodating. My truck died the second i rolled into my campsite---They let me use their office phone several times as cell service is a no-go. Don (who must have had experience as a mechanic) offered to come down to my site and take a look at my truck. He spent a good 1/2 hour trying to get it started, even crawling under it and banging on the starter. To top it off they were kind enough to run messages down to me from calls coming in from AAA. Above and beyond. Lean-to's are great-sites - -restrooms very clean--Osmore pond is awesome - great hiking trails and, its very quiet--I went there 2 weekends in a row, cant say enough good about it.

Myself and a few friends camped here for a few days this past week while exploring the local area. I could not be more impressed by this campground. It was the most well maintained campground I have ever stayed at. The staff at the campground are extremely friendly, and take excellent care of it. there are plenty of activities in the area to keep you busy. The weekend was a little busy at this campground, but once the weekend warriors left, this campground really was peaceful with only a few occupants. I would gladly stay here again.

I have been coming to this park since I was a kid and I absolutely love it. Don O'Donnell (Park Ranger) is as nice a guy as you'll ever meet. Wonderful place to spend time Camping, Hiking, Fishing & Kayaking.

Beautiful campground in Groton state forest. If camping, the big loop has more of a field vibe with sparse trees. The smaller loop has more private wooded sites. A large tent might have trouble on some of the wooded sites but 2-6 person tents should have no issue.

Well maintained campground. Friendly staff and well spaced camp sites. Close to quiet a few hiking trails and a lake walk. Beautiful fall colors viewing area near the campsite. Campsites do have 🧱 brick walled 🔥fire pits. Few camping spots for RVs to part and camp too. Firewood available for purchase $6 bundle. Checkout at 11am.

Super clean and open campground with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Off the beaten path but close enough to civilization that you can head into town for dinner if you don’t feel like cooking at a site. But if you do, the fireplaces are some of the best I’ve seen: solid, large brick structures with large, stable cooking grates. Fresh water available in several spots and the bathrooms are nice! The best part is the walk/drive to the serene pond. It was so quiet and beautiful, I haven’t experienced the absence of sound like that in a long while.

I've been to a LOT of campgrounds. From Acadia to Green Mountains, all the way down to Kauai. New Discovery is one of the best, if not the best. It's open, easy to navigate, and has spaceous private sites. Everything is clean and well maintained. There is plenty of hiking, kayaking, and swimming opportunities. Super chill staff is icing on the proverbial cake. Highly recommended!
