Had a great experience at Iron Horse Campground. Clean park with close proximity to bathrooms/showers. The camp sites were located spaciously apart. It was our first visit, and the Rangers were very helpful with the surrounding area for fishing, hiking, and other activities. Ranger Ryan gave us some pamphlets and was friendly and informative. We will definitely visit again

A great place to camp , fish and go boating. I love the fishing at this lake. I always catch my limit. Clean campground.

This campsite is surrounded by beautiful nature; as seen from the Highway's Vista Point. See photos and video.

Good camp site for RVs (no hook-ups) and boats but very congested. Camp host doesn’t enforce quiet hours, Friday night still noisy past midnight til 2 am. Showers and restrooms were well maintained and working; lines formed around 8am. Centrally located, 20 min drive to town, New Melones Lake Marina or Natural Bridges Trailhead. Avoid campsites #18, 20, 22 ADA and 24, no trees for the hot summer months and mostly gravel.

It's a nice spot but definitely busy. Camp host doesn't regulate anything so you have too many people in a spot and you have people being loud all night (past 1am). A lot of people don't respect your camp site a d will walk through. The restrooms are kept relatively clean and the showers are decent. It's about a 2 min drive to get to a decent spot to swim at in the lake

Rough camping. No water service, very hot and dry, and the people in the site next to us were up until 2 AM. Quiet hours were not enforced. Cars were driving up and down the road all night even though the front gate was supposed to be closed. We left the next morning for home, foregoing our Yosemite trip.
