Small camping space but the spot is just right for a group of 2-4 people. The playground was a huge hit with my son. Nice trails to walk. Also nearby stores that have all the essentials. We loved it. Definitely coming back.

Late season, leaves down down, yellow, cold, not many people...love it. Campsite 20 yards from the Dragon. Beautiful, perfect, I'll be back many more times. Great hike and ride to the dam and back. Newaygo is a nice little town, Diner Between the Dams...I'd go back every week if I could.

Great staging campground for doing the awesome 38 mile Dragon Trill single track bike path around Hardy Pond in one day. The campground has pit toilets but no showers. Fresh water is available at the sanitation station which is close to the Oak section. The sites have a lot of privacy, fire rings, but no electricity. Verizon LTE worded for data but slowish. Starlink could work at some sites but lots of trees too. Lots of noise from heavy boat traffic on pond and the water at boat ramp looks kind of toxic.

Beware when you're camping off season. I booked my site online the night before. However this site was occupied when I arrived. I let them know this is the site I had booked for two nights. They seemed disinterested in moving and there were no rangers on duty I had to choose another site not the end of the world. But definitely something to be aware of when camping during the off season. The park had some great sites and the best pit toilets, they were so clean. The hand pump for the water was a plus and worked with ease. This is a great park for a quick trip.

Views r magnificent through the trees, a beautiful body of water with foliage just as pretty. The trails are welcoming and the campground looked promising. Only reason for 4 stars is we were confused if it closed at 9 or 10 because of conflicting signs, and the people docking and unloading boats were loud and screaming. As long as they enforce the quiet rule after 10, shouldn't be an issue.
