Grand Island KOA is one of the most charming and well-equipped campgrounds I’ve ever visited, and it’s perfect for anyone looking for a mix of outdoor adventure and convenient amenities. The campground welcomes tent campers, RVs, vans, and even rental cabins, including a few dog-friendly cabins which is amazing for pet owners. No matter what type of stay you choose, every accommodation is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged — even the most basic cabins feel cozy, spotless, and ready for a comfortable visit. The property has so much to offer, it’s hard to know where to start. There are multiple dog parks on site, including mini dog parks for premium campsites, which makes it easy for furry friends to get exercise and have fun. There are also two pools, a fishing pond, a playground, and a recreation center, along with rental options like go-karts and bikes, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Every campsite comes with a fire pit, and the store sells firewood, making it easy to have a classic campfire experience. Grand Island KOA is incredibly convenient. It’s just about 15 minutes from the Rainbow Bridge, which makes crossing into Canada simple, and it’s a short drive to local grocery stores or other necessities. The campground is also located right next to an amusement park, which makes it a perfect home base for a fun-filled vacation. Booking is straightforward, and they’re very accommodating when it comes to special requests — we’ve always been able to reserve specific cabins or sites with no issue. The after-hour check-in is seamless, adding an extra layer of convenience for late arrivals. There are multiple bathhouses on-site that are well-maintained and clean, ensuring comfort no matter where your campsite is located. Everything about Grand Island KOA feels well thought out, from the cleanliness and organization of the cabins and campsites to the range of activities and amenities available. Whether you’re traveling with pets, kids, or just looking for a relaxing getaway with easy access to Niagara Falls and the Canadian border, this campground delivers on every level. It’s a perfect spot for outdoor fun, comfort, and convenience all in one place, and we’ve loved every visit.

First time stay with KOA. Pleasantly surprised with every aspect. Arrival & departure a breeze. Clean and cozy accommodations [deluxe cabin]. Perfect location for visiting Niagara Falls. Staff very friendly and truly hospitable - making sure all of your needs are met. We will definitely be visiting more KOA sites in the future.

We purchased an upgraded patio site. The site we were assigned was an extremely narrow and had us pushed up against a bath house. After being escorted to the site we knew immediately our RV wouldn't fit and we couldn't even extend our slide. There was probably 10-15 open equivalent sites- I have no idea why they would put us in their worst site when the campground was at maybe 50% capacity. I asked to switch sites and the office was amenable and the site we were next assigned was much more in line with the website description of what we had paid for. Other than that we found the campground very pleasant. The amenities were very nice- our kids thoroughly enjoyed the playground. Had we gone during a time when the pool was open it would have been super nice- the pool areas looked great. The drive to Niagara Falls was very easy- a short distance but far enough from the city enough to be the type of experience we prefer. Recommend the Niagara Gorge River Trail- it was beautiful!

Great park. Clean. Easy check in after hours. Text message and easy check out. The park has wonderful amenities in a great location to the falls and also to a lot of food options close by. They pick up your trash! It was friendly and easy. Two great things in the RV life

Great place to stay!! Gravel pads for the RV's, water pressure is low at 35/60 🥹. Several bath houses, big laundry room! Cabins on-site with a pool, pickleball court, and playground for the kids. The store is well stocked and the ladies working the store are very nice. 30 min to Niagra Falls State Park. The KOA sells tickets for tours and has a shuttle! Recommend dining at 773 North - 2 minutes away!

The location for all things Niagara Falls - in the US and Canada - was great. The site was level and accommodating and there was a lot to do on-site at this KOA for families. It was clean and well-maintained. The only negative we have is that the office staff is atrociously rude and unfriendly to everyone, including the new hire that was being trained the day we arrived. We were very thankful we didn’t have to go back in there again for anything and didn’t have a problem during our stay. If you stay here to go to the Falls, do the tour with Over The Falls… you will NOT be disappointed.

We enjoy camping in nature, and KOA is definitely not a nature camping experience. We knew this going in, but chose this campground because it was close to the Niagara Falls Canadian border and more affordable than staying in a hotel. We had our two kids (12 & 13) with us and thought they’d enjoy the many amenities that cater to children. They did—but even they said they prefer camping in a natural setting over having lots of extras. Specifics: Bathrooms: The restroom by the heated pool was very dirty. I only went in once and never again. I used the ones closer to the entrance by the RVs, which were much better. Tent sites: Ours—and the others we saw—were about 95% exposed to the sun with no shade at all. Definitely bring a canopy or shade tent for cooking and relaxing. Our tent turned into an oven, so we couldn’t leave food or snacks inside. We ended up rigging a tarp to keep our cooler and supplies safe from the sun. Amenities at the site: Having electricity and water hookups was great. However, the paved cement area around the fire pit and seating space felt unnatural to us—we prefer a more traditional camping environment. Noise: The highway runs right along the west side of the grounds, so it’s loud. Add in the theme park next door and it’s definitely not a peaceful, quiet camping spot (something we had read in other reviews and can now confirm). Staff: Super friendly and helpful, including the younger/teen staff. Really great service all around. Pools & activities: The pool near the entrance was clean and less crowded, which we preferred. Our kids especially liked the bouncy pad and the 4-wheel bike rentals. Location: Conveniently close to the Canadian border, as well as Target and Walmart for any needs. There are some restaurants nearby—not a ton—but plenty of fast-food options. Overall: If you want a kid-friendly campground with lots of amenities close to Niagara Falls, this KOA is a solid choice. But if you love the peace and beauty of camping in nature, you may be disappointed—just like we were.

The deluxe cabin was clean and great for a family of 8. We were comfortable enough. The sofa bed mattress could use a replacement. Our cabin was not ready to be checked in at 3pm and the girl at the front desk said that 3pm is a suggested tome but its not guaranteed and thats a KOA policy. I wish they put that in the emails after booking. It can be frustrating when you have had a long drive with a baby and kids. However once checked in, it is all wonderful from there onwards. The campground has a lot of activities for all ages. The swimming pool is a nice size. There are 2 pools one heated and one not heated. The heated one is warm. Very well kept. Ground staffs were very nice.

This campground was great. Well placed to the Falls and and other activities nearby. The campground it self was well laid out and is great for all kinds of camping. Tent cabins small and large RVs. 2 pools and recreation areas. And more the one dog park. Sites in the back are a bit tight and next to highway but they were budget sites so its understandable. I highly recommend this campground if you are visiting Niagara Falls

We stayed here while we visited Niagara Falls. Overall, the campground is very nice! I was not exactly happy with the spot we were given bc we were right next to the playground and pool. The quiet hours were not enforced as much as they should have been as there were kids screaming and playing at 11pm one of the nights we were there. There are three bath houses on the property, but we used the one connected to the pool and Rec area. The showers could use some attention, one of the stalls was broken and the other two were rather dingy. Parking the rig was easy and the spots were level and nicely graveled. I think the biggest note for the area is getting on and off Grand Island charges you a toll, after our two night stay, we ended up with around $10 in toll charges.

Located on radioactive hotspot on Grand Island. The amount of radioactive exposure here is above normal limits. Consider your health before coming here.

The koa on grand island is a fantastic place to stay. The personal are so kind and friendly. I really cannot say enough good things about them. Its obvious they enjoy what they do Nd really want families to enjoy their stay.. The grounds are clean, there is a ton to do. We stayed in a cabin and it was very clean, super convenient, and came with tons of amenities that really allowed us to relax and enjoy. We will definitely be coming back.
