Great quiet spot, secluded with space between sites, we’ve been here for about a year, and the family that runs this campground does it all! They even hosted a campground thanksgiving:)) definitely coming back when we visit New England again.

Lovely little campground by the river, with hiking trails and small playground. It was nice and quiet but we were also there in late Fall.

campground was beautiful we had site on the river. clean, staff welcoming. only 4 stars because the sites are on large rocks bigger than typical driveway rocks. this makes walking on your site uncomfortable even with rug. my dogs did not like it either hard to lie down and be comfortable.

We just stayed at this campground this past weekend as it was our first time at the campground. As recent transplants to CT, this was the third campground we've stayed at and this was our favorite. Placing reservations over the phone was pleasant and informative and we were able to get a spot on the river at a seasonal site. The views and sounds of the river are what make this place phenomenal! We stayed next to long-time seasonal campers (Rick and Sue) who were extremely kind as we also met a wonderful family of campers who were staying on adjoining sites. Henry at the front desk was professional and courteous and all of the campers were kind and respectful. We have three kids and recently moved to CT from outside of Chicago, and this campground reminded us of our favorite campground in Illinois. We are already making plans to reserve sites here for next year!

I literal slice of heaven! The staff treat you with the utmost respect. The campground is 100 percent family friendly . You won't have to worry about loud party campers here. I would 100 percent recommend this campground! Personally I cannot wait to make more great memories with my family here next season.

We found Nickerson Family Campground three years ago as we were traveling north. What an amazing spot to come across! Beautiful sites both on and off of the river. Even on a busy weekend the feel is relaxed and peaceful. Midweek is truly quiet, especially in the fall. The Nickerson family works hard to make your stay enjoyable and are always ready to assist campers. The brand new wifi is a wonderful upgrade that allows remote workers the ability to stay connected. I can’t say enough positive words about this special place! Thank you!!!

The owners are super nice. The spots are big and kinds private with the bushes between them. It is beautiful and quiet. The river is nice, you can tube down it, fish in it and swim. They have a great little recipe room for the family with pool and ping pong. They allowed our dogs and they is great. Nice playground. And they always keep everything clean and tidy. Love staying here.
