Very nice campground with lush green sites. Great fenced-in dog area too.

Very nice RV campground. Clean and well maintained, with friendly, helpful staff. We enjoyed watching the salmon swim upstream in the river and seeing the pony and chickens. Wish we could've stayed longer!

Nicolston Dam RV Park is a beautiful, well-kept campground. The sites are all grassy, large, and easy to get into with any size trailer. Kids will love this place as it has a beautiful swimming pool, river to fish and kayak in, and great playground equipment. Alliston is nearby and Barrie is less than 30 minutes.

I love this place! They have made so many improvements since we were here a few years ago, it just keeps getting better. Great Wi-Fi, awesome dog park, pool and playgrounds for the kids. The owners are the BEST!

As much as I don’t want to post this in fear of competition with other campers, I simply have to! Likely the largest, cleanest, friendliest and family oriented gem for families with big camping gear and small alike. The Nottawasaga River snakes it’s way through the park and many sites are right in the water. You have to try it out! Close to home, close to amenities and feels like you are away from it all. I’d give them 6 stars if another was available. The website leave a lot to be desired, and they are not the easiest to book with, but when your get in, everything else is like clockwork!

Our favorite campground by far, across ON, MB, SK, QC. We lived here for 2 1/2 months while waiting for our house. People are great and the owners are amazing!! Very friendly, amazingly helpful. The campground is peaceful and relaxing, yet always so much to see and do.

Absolutely amazing experience & park! My husband had a sports event in Barrie over the weekend; trying to find accommodations last minute was exceptionally hard without the additional challenge of requiring a pet-friendly hotel. The prices were a little unreasonable for hotels for a 2 night stay. I came across Nicolston Dam. Contacted them asking if they had any availability and they did! I am so happy with my stay. I've grown up camping and toured many camp sites/parks and I can say this one has become our family park. With a 5 month old and a puppy, we have high standards. The service we received from the initial email with Chelsey to the front desk staff and wood/ice delivery staff (the best part) I am so pleased! The park is majority trailers and RVs surrounded by the Nottawasaga River - not sure if you are able to swim in it from the park but from what we saw, you can definitely boat, kayak, etc. The park has a pool and it was very clean. There are a few playgrounds and some space we didn't get to explore due to timing. There are social distance measures in place, masks are worn in public spaces. Showers/washrooms were very clean. Overall the experience was amazing. The other campers were so friendly! We will be back in August to explore the rest! The history about Nicolston is amazing too! Thank you for accommodating us so last minute and thank so much Nicol family for sharing your hidden gem! - Frances
