Very dark and poorly marked camp spaces. Way too many trees, made backing the camper in almost impossible. Roads were not clearly marked. Tree down across the trail to the bath house. The fish cleaning house was well maintained and had a grinder and water available. It had a fan.

Couldn't believe we would be staying at a campsite with no dumpsters available. Spoke to a really nice man,a Mr Green, who worked for the Corps. He explained the situation and told us he was working to resolve it. Next day there was a huge dumpster ready to use. (Mark?) Green is the man. Thank you. We also had a new camp host. After many years Preston and Debbie retired. The only comment I can make here is to beg them to come back out of retirement. The new host told us not to park on the grass. I can only assume she meant the pine needles and bare soil. A simple smile is all it takes to be friendly. The campsite itself is wonderful and a group of us return every year for spring break. Fishing was a bit hit and miss but at least the lake level was normal for the time of year.

Carter Cove is a great facility. Best fish cleaning stand I’ve ever seen. Everything is clean and immaculate.

Stayed one night at the campground. Cell signal is patchy, but the campground was clean and well kept. The bathrooms were clean as well. Great place if you don't mind the Internet disconnect!
