What a great state park. Plenty of trials to walk, easy access to get down to the river, the cabins are great, and is always a good time whenever we stop.

We loved this park! I'm from Omaha and wish I'd discovered it sooner. The tent sites are completely separate from the RV campground, which gives a more remote vibe(we tent camped). Staff was friendly and the foot paths make for an easy hike or way to connect with the other tent sites. The cabins looked nice, too, so we may explore that option in the future!

Wonderful river trail with lots of opportunities to hop in for a cool down in the summer. Love that it's dog friendly. Great campground, super quiet. Bring quarters for the shower though ☹️

A cool park, the kids enjoy it! If you're going in summer plan on it being hot, there are a lot of neat trails but there is a lot of elevation change, so bring water and good shoes. Some trails are wooded but a lot are open prairie with views for days. Campsites are clean and well maintained by friendly staff!

Park was pretty and well maintained. Plenty of spots available to chose from for not having a reservation based on first come first serve. Showers and bathrooms were clean and helpful park hosts . We have a 40 foot motorhome and we paid $30 for the site with electric no water and added was a $14 daily fee for state park. A bit steep for no water hookups but the did have a fill up area and dump station

Absolutely awesome State Park pristine and beautiful right on the river. I will definitely come back if coming through that part of the country again.

Great hiking trails and views. Cabins also look very nice. We will be staying here next year for sure.

Only stopped here for one night traveling through but liked the park. We were there in the off-season so the developed campground was almost empty. The developed campground has paved pads, spots are back in only. Our fifth wheel is 24 ft and paired with the truck we only just fit on the pad, longer rigs would need to disconnect. The dump station, water, trash, and electric were all still on. Would have liked to take a look at the rest of the park, according to the map there’s four rv spots deeper in the park but we were told that RVs couldn’t drive around in the primitive area of the park.

This is hands down my family’s favorite state park that we have visited. While we initially wanted to rent a cabin, they didn’t have any that were available, so we had to stay down the road at the Ohiya Casino and hotel. Being so far from home and not knowing what to expect we decided not to camp this time around, but are excited to go camping there in the near future (or plan further in advance to get a cabin). Their campsites are not like other campsites, they almost are like a private little cut out for just your group, which each campsite divided by a bunch of trees. Plus they have some bathrooms almost outside of each campsite. It really is the coolest set up we have ever seen and the views are breathtaking! The horse riding was so much fun. The ladies there running that show really take their time and make sure you are paired with a horse based on their personality. They take their time to explain any things that might be helpful when it comes to the horse you are riding. You can tell that they truly care for these horses.
