Norfork Lake - COE/Gamaliel
Norfork Lake is a man-made lake located in the Ozark Mountains of northern Arkansas and southern Missouri. It was created in 1944 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as part of the Norfork Dam project. The lake is a popular destination for fishing, boating, swimming, and other recreational activities. It is also home to the Norfork National Fish Hatchery, which is the largest cold-water fish hatchery in the United States. The lake is fed by the White River and is surrounded by the Ozark National Forest.
