The worse experience of my life. We booked a cottage and trailer back in the spring 2026 as my husband had great memories of this place from when he was a kid (different ownership at that time). We arrived June 27th to check in to the 2 bedroom cottage and a rental trailer for our teenagers on the property and came all the way from Nova Scotia (over 2000 km). When we arrived we were shown to the rental trailer and cottage, we were exhausted and just wanted to relax however nothing had been cleaned out from the winter season. It was like we just showed up last minute and he wasn't expecting anyone but that was not the case. We have dealt with rustic before but after closer inspection we found things that drove us right out of the camp ground. 1.) The trailer had mold on the blinds, 2.) Holes down around the table in the trailer, 3.) mouse nest in the kitchen drawers at the cottage, 4:) mouse droppings in between the mattresses, 5:) duct take around the shelves in the fridge, 6:) garbage around the deck and large gaps from the deck into the front door. You can tell no one had bothered to clean or check the place out. You can tell that the ground and seasonals lots are well taken care of but the rentals are not kept well. We reached out to the owner who was to busy helping his buddy build a deck that he said "I'll deal you when I get a minute", and completely brushed us off. Needless to say we loaded the family back up and left as fast as we possibly could. We were lucky that we did not exchange money. The only thing that saved our trip was the lovely lady down the street that owns Rich Man's Chip Stand. She hooked us up with a friends rental (Lillian's Indian Crafts). Beautiful cottages right on the beach, small place with a beautiful sandy lake to enjoy.

Had a great stay at this park, the trailer we rented was well stocked with dishes and cutlery and comfortable for the three of us. Steve and his wife were wonderful hosts and very friendly. A playground for the children would be really great to add to it for future camping, we will be back next year for sure reasonable rates
