Extremely Disappointed – Will Never Return My family has been camping at this campground in Vilano Beach every Mother’s Day for the past eight years. Sadly, after our experience this year under the new ownership and management, we will never be returning. As a small business owner, I understand the importance of treating loyal guests with respect and care. What we experienced this year was the exact opposite—disrespectful, hostile, and completely lacking in compassion or professionalism. Because my parents mistakenly didn’t list me as an additional adult on their reservation (even though I arrived in the same vehicle as them), the staff—especially the head of security and office management—treated my family with unjust hostility. My husband, who is a type 1 diabetic, was harassed and trespassed simply for trying to enter the campground to retrieve orange juice and medical supplies to regulate his blood sugar. His levels were dangerously low (in the 60s), and instead of showing basic human decency or concern, they escalated the situation, cursed at my elderly grandmother (who is also a guest), and threatened to call the police on my husband while he was experiencing a medical episode. Even after I personally called the office to explain the situation and give them a chance to make it right, their management was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to show any empathy. They let my husband sit outside the gates waiting until my father was able to bring him what he needed. This was my first Mother’s Day as a mom, and instead of spending it with my family, I was forced to spend it separated from my husband, who was denied entry to our campsite despite having a paid parking pass. This campground used to be a place we loved. Now, under new leadership, it’s become a place that prioritizes control and hostility over customer care and human compassion. I’ve never written a negative review in my life, but this situation was beyond unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and choose a different campground—especially if you plan to spend time with loved ones or have any guests. They’ve made it clear that kindness and flexibility are no longer part of their culture.

Lovely campground! Quiet, clean, and easy to access. Easy to make reservations online, easy to check in. Friendly staff. My only ick is the bathroom. The stall doors have not been hung correctly, so the locks don't work. They've installed hook and eye locks to remedy this. That is fine, except I got locked in a stall for several minutes because the hook and eye lock was stuck. The bathroom is air conditioned but was also a bit dirty. The automatic air freshener is scummy and had not been wiped down in a long time. Overall, I am pleased and I'd love to visit again.

Five Stars! Outstanding Solo Getaway at North Beach Camp Resort! I just finished an absolutely fantastic four-day solo trip at North Beach Camp Resort in St. Augustine, and it exceeded all expectations! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed by the friendly and helpful staff. The resort facilities were excellent – clean, well-maintained, and provided everything I needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay on my own. The location is truly unbeatable. Having such easy access to the beautiful beach was a major highlight. I loved being able to walk down to the sand whenever I wanted and enjoy the peace and sounds of the ocean. The resort also offered great amenities that enhanced my solo experience. Overall, my time at North Beach Camp Resort was outstanding. It's a perfect spot for individuals looking for a relaxing and enjoyable beachside retreat in St. Augustine. I highly recommend it and am already looking forward to returning!

I've been coming here for a few years now as the destination point to set up camp. I love the camp site location. The sites are average size , but separated with really cool foliage native to this area. This makes you feel like you are in different part of the world. You have a river on one end of the camp site and the ocean on the other. The beaches are incredible. They are huge, never crowded and very clean.

Great campground This tour was our second stay and we plan to go back. Stayed first in April of 2024 and then January 2025. Campground itself I would not say is a resort like many new campers would be accustomed to but is clean and maintained. (We did not look at the showers). Things we like: -Camp ground is dark and quiet most times (you can hear waves if you listen). A lot of foliage that blocks light from neighbors allows the feeling you are more secluded and it’s easier to see the sky. -Saftey: while we never noticed any security the campground is gated and we never felt unsafe even walking late at night when we had our dog and were comfortable letting our kids ride their bikes within reason. - water activity: access to the beach is an easy walk from camp ground access road or private parking if you wish to drive. We used a wagon. While we did not use the pool it seemed very clean inviting. -sites: as I said they are sandy but manageable if you understand you are camping almost on the beach. Sites are sizable you’re not on top of each other. Hookups seemed well maintained and located well. Dislikes: -Picnic tables both stays were the only item I saw that needed maintenance, while boards were replaced that were broken the rest of the table was still not in great shape. -campground does not have fire rings as they do allow open fires, not sure why but it is understandable considering the amount of vegetation. But I did notice some campers brought their own. There is some allowances for raised and screened fires. Some have complained about the hospitality of the staff. I found most staff to be polite when approached and we did not encounter any problems. Staff on the phone were understanding to our late arrival due to traffic. Overall I Would have like to have seen more of a staff presence or interaction during our stays. We have used this camp as a stopping point on our way home to NJ from southern Florida to visit friends in both locations and have only stayed a few days. In the future we are planning a longer trip hopefully with warmer weather (cold spell in January temps dropped to 40* at night and 70s during the day)

Love this campground. This is the third time we’ve stayed here and enjoyed it every time. Friendly staff. Nice sized shaded lot. Full hook ups. Clean bathrooms. Love being able to walk to the beach and the river. Weather was cold but there is a pool, shuffleboard court. Two restaurants just a short walk away. We will be back!

This is a beautiful RV park with great, shaded, and pretty private spaces. We weren't getting in before closing so they called to make sure we had the instructions. They were very clear and direct and we found our spot no problem even in the dark. There's a river with a fishing dock and spot for swimming, and it's a great area to walk around with dogs. We'll definitely be staying there again when we're in the area!

The sites are very nice and private, the price is a little high for an RV site but walking distance to the beach and river. Nice restaurant and bar just a short walk on river. Nice for traveling with dogs. would recommend to other campers we have a class A 27' RV tress are a little low. Over all really nice stay.

I made reservations after checking the website’s pet policy. The pet policy does not list German shepherds as a prohibited breed. Upon reading the confirmation after I made the reservations it states they are not allowed. I called to cancel our reservations and request a refund The gentleman was very nice and refunded all except the $5 online booking fee. I feel I should receive that amount refunded as well since this is an error on their part and not mine.

I loved it :) A little off the beaten track from downtown St. Augustine . . but it was quaint and quiet with private spots. Two great restaurants at each end of the campground . . one on the river and one on the Atlantic . . both a couple of minutes walk or so. Beautiful beach right across the street and nice pool.
