I was scared to stay here after all the reviews mentioning homeless people but I didn’t notice any of that during my stay. There is a whole homeless tent “neighborhood” right off the bike path, less than 1/2 mile away, but I didn’t see them coming into the campground and my site was right infront of the gate to the bike path. I also felt the campground was very quiet. The location is hard to beat with the beach/lake right across the path. I thought the bathrooms were clean as well. Maybe I just got lucky because it’s mid-October and the cooler weather is hindering the homeless? I would agree the price is too high for what you get. The sites are on top of each other and the WiFi didn’t work. I didn’t even know there were showers until I read a review about them.

This campground has always had a fairly negative reputation. Despite this we took a chance and scheduled a weekend trip. We were pleasantly surprised. The site was large and very comfortable. Check in was a breeze and the staff were very pleasant. Our site was flat and very accommodating for our Class A motorhome. All in all it was a very nice weekend and we will definitely be back again

The location was great. We loved being right by the Greenway trail. The sites were tiny, however, and lots of hookups were malfunctioning so all of the RVs were forced to park basically on top of each other with no space to set up a chair outside. We didn't even have a fire pit. The trees had overgrown into the site and made parking a challenge with roots protruding everywhere. One woman gave up trying and abandoned her site. The whole point of camping is to spend time outside and we couldn't do that. The tent sites looked nice so maybe those are worth booking, but I couldn't recommend this for even a small camper van or RV.

This place could be a 10/10 but I’m not exaggerating when I say the women’s bathhouses have an infestation of medium to large sized spiders. Above the showers, above the sinks, above the door when you walk in and on all the walls so you have to be careful not to bump into them. And they’re fast! I’ve seen them speed running along the walls trying to catch a moth, fighting each other, multiplying. They have signs saying they close the bathhouse everyday from 1-2pm for cleaning but I legitimately don’t know how it could take you an hour to sweep the floors and not to manage the spiders somehow. Sticky traps? Sprays? Power wash the bathroom like other campgrounds? Nope, same spiders and webs are always there so nothing much is being done about them from what I can tell. The bathhouse down by the beach is almost as bad and it does not have showers except the outdoor spigot in case you’re wondering. On a lesser note, the showers are… uncomfortably high pressure. Imagine showering on the bottom floor of the titanic as the water rushes in. It’s like getting water boarded if water boarding meant pelting you in the eyes, face, etc with a board of water. The nozzles don’t move and there’s no way to control temperature, pressure, and no room to move farther away or reposition from the onslaught of cold -ish water… luckily showers don’t take long because you have to keep an eye on the spider above your head and if another one starts rushing in shower time is over anyway. They do have tent and camper spaces intermixed in some areas, which has caused a little trouble here and there but it was manageable. There are trees, tree stumps, root systems, etc to navigate in many of the spaces. Luckily we got here early enough to try moving around for a level spot without hitting two trees a few times. The shade was nice so it’s better than no trees I guess! Staff is very friendly and responsive.. just not great spider wranglers.

Perfect location! Walking distance to the beach and 1.5 out of Burlington. We did deal with some animals, but nothing out of the ordinary for camping. Bathrooms were pretty gross though. Lots of dogs and kids and the beach has a playground for the kids!

VERY disappointed ! I try to booked on the 1st of march with the new online booking system, then on the 15th of march - STLL no result, T Then on the 1st of april... stil no way on getting a site or talking to someone cause the voicemail box is full.. How can this be possible ??

It's a good place to stay for a quick Burlington visit. It's not by any means very private, there are a lot of camp sites and can get very full. The facilities are nice enough, it's reasonable priced, and seems safe. No view from the campgrounds although the water isn't far, see image.

Close to downtown but far enough to take in the scenery of the lake. Very safe and friendly location. Showers and bathrooms were very clean. Would stay here again, hands down. Perfect spot for camping in a van/SUV.

It's a good place to stay if using local activities like biking and going to the beach. Some of the not full hookup sites are too close together but have learn which ones not to get when we return. Great access to bike trail!
