I highly recommend this campsite. It’s not far from the visitor center, and close to newhalem for essentials if needed. It was a bit crowded, expect once the peak season is over that this site will be filled as it’s the only one at times open. It becomes first come, first serve after peak season. You’ll just find a site you like that doesn’t have “Occupied” red card, flip it over for your occupancy and scan the QR code. I don’t recommend scanning the one on the bulletin board as you might pay and have no sites available. Happy camping!

Nice smaller campground in the forest. A lot of space between sites. A short walk to the boat launch area is beautiful. Pit toilets only and potable water. Beware of emergency warnings sirens that apparently are used for dam breach and medical emergency- they need more information posted regarding meaning at campsites. Very concerning in middle of night.

Nice campground on the rivers edge. You can go down to the river and hang out on a hot day. The water was a little to cold to swim in but was nice to put our feet in and sit in.

Great spot to camp. Trash cans and water access available all through camp. Two large, clean, pit toilets in the center of camp. Sites are spacious with tables and campfire pits. Dog friendly. Group picnic area near adjoining raft launch. Parking lot near boat ramp. People seemed to car camp in this area due to sites being full.

Holly cow, this is heaven on earth. The most prettiest campground I’ve been too. I love camping. There are no fancy facilities but the location is wonderful. They do have trash cans and outhouses. No showers. Also have potable water. There is a river right next to the campground with beautiful turquoise water coming from lake Diablo. Smells like nature heaven

Beautiful campground with skagit river.

Van camped here maybe 30 years ago. Heavily forested campground right on the Skagit River. The water has a slightly cloudy look from glacial flour runoff

It's a nice place to set up for spring hiking.

Gorgeous. However, in the winter months the water is turned off but you can still fill a pan from the river and boil on the grill.

Great place that isn't really well known, so it is still a hideaway. Lovely place to get away, have a fire and be near the river. Depending on which riverside site, it is either smooth and calm water...or the sounds of rushing water just near your site that help relax you to sleep. Awesome lil' nook in the woods and very affordable.
