The group campsite at Newhalem was an ideal location for our five families and ten kids. The site was spacious and featured a large shed with plenty of tables, which was great for meals and hangouts. The restrooms were cleaned daily and were well-maintained, which was a huge convenience for our large group. We also enjoyed the excellent views from the nearby river.

Gorgeous campsite in North cascades NP right on the river in amongst the forest. The campsite has plenty of good sized spots with room for just about any rig. Lots of tree cover so no solar and minimal starlink but a tiny bit of cell service from nearby newhalem. There is a dumb station right as you come over the bridge. Couple shork hikes around the campground, one loop down to the river and another takes you into newhalem, both very nice to checkout. The visitor center is also right in the CG. Great base in the center of the valley with amazing forest vibes.

A perfect spot to explore trails, one leading to the river, another to the visitor center and a third one going from loop C to the Newhalem village. We were in loop C Site 111, at level for our motorhome and not too far from the washrooms block which was quite nice and clean with flushable toilets. No showers but we knew that. Worth mentioning the presence of recycling bins, mixed recycling. It is so rare to have recycling bins in national parks (why is it?) that I need to highlight this. Most of the time, it is just a dumpster… A note to RVers that there is a dump station with potable water. Also, from time to time there is a loud siren that goes on and we had no clue what that was for and we learned that it is to advise folks that there is water released from the three different dams…and that we need to get out of the water….

This campground had 3 loops with about 30 sites in each loop. Most of the sites seemed large enough for RV's and most had built built tent sites. Some of the pull through sites were long enough for the largest of RV's. All of the sites are standard with only table and fire ring. It was a clean campground and dark with no distracting lights. This campground had hiking trails which you could take down to the river. We also easily hiked to the North Cascade Visitors Center. Caution... There are ticks and each of us found one on us after a hike through overgrown trails.

This is a great place to camp. Each site seems to have some privacy. We found others to be kind and considerate. The trails were great.

Absolutely fantastic campground. Spacious level sites away from any road noise. Really easy hiking and biking right from your campsite. I hadn't planned on staying here but with the Cascade loop fire closures over the summer, I was lucky to get a site last minute since no one could go much farther east. I wish I'd spent more than a few nights and I'll definitely go back when I get to do the entire loop. You do need to be "bear aware". There was a junior bear wandering through the neighboring sites. Luckily, it was just old enough that mom wasn't around. I thought it was great but some folks were definitely...not as excited :)

Nice covered campsites with raised tent pads. A quite spot to spend the night while exploring North Cascades National Park! Would definitely stay here again!

Didn't have a reservation but got lucky as there were open sites. Very nice park, clean flush toilets. Beautiful wooded fairly private sites. Not good for solar charging.
