Called asking if they had opening for Labor Day (yes I know it’s 2 weeks) they did I said great. She started to yell at me and get rude with me asking SIMPLE questions. 1. Is the site mostly level? 2. Is there a ton of trees on the site? NORMAL QUESTION A CAMPERS GOING TO ASK. she then raised her voice at me and said “I’m getting frustrated everyone’s asking the same questions. It’s your fault your calling to book sites two weeks before” then started crying on the phone saying she was “sorry” for how she was acting when I informed her we will not be reserving a spot with how I was treated.

This is a nice clean campground, Nice clean showers and bathrooms. An extended nice children's play set! And a paved 1.3 mile walk to city park beach area. Enjoyed walking out on the pier for an amazing sunrise!

Harbor Beach Parks & Rec. operates the North Park Campground which is maintained well. Two of the three restroom and shower facilities are like new and positioned through out the park. Friendly, helpful staff. Our visit was off-peak. Play area looks new with upgraded slides and climbing structures. Not all utilities are available on one side. Some sites offer cable but you will need your own coaxial cable to hook up. Sites include picnic tables and fire rings. Family friendly hiking trails on site with the Harbor Beach Marina across the street. Year round RV storage available.

Beautiful campground! Our campsite (136) had both 30 and 50 amp service as well as water and sewer. The water pressure was perfect. An extremely clean and well maintained campground for sure. We experienced no issues. I was also surprised how well the other campers observed the quiet hours. When we return tonthe thumb area, this will be the campground we go to! Definitely take a have and go visit the museum across the street!
