Beautiful location with a great view of the mountains. There are many outdoor activities, including in the winter. Inside was a nice wooden cabin and the main center with rooms and surrounding smaller cabins for separate stays as well. The main cabin had a small gift section, a decent restaurant, and rooms that were very cozy and clean. Food was a bit expensive but it's common for the area because of how difficult it is to get things to this area. There is also a gas pump which are hard to find in this area and was very nice to have beside the cabin. If traveling in winter time just make sure to book ahead and arrive for check-in before 10-11pm as they do not have overnight staff in winters.

Nice and quiet place. No cell service or amenities in modern chains, like microwave or coffee maker. Offers discount for military and also for gas purchased on site. Staff is nice, knowledgeable, and accommodating.

Don't rely on conversations or bookings - they're willing to change or cancel arrangements when it's -30C outside. Our original accommodation had closed last minute due to generator issues so we called the lodge at 8am and confirmed that although they had a New Year's event on they would be willing to take a walk in for one night - this tracked with a conversation that we had when we were planning our trip. When we arrived (250km later on NYE) the reception told us that he didn't know who we'd spoken to and that management had told him no walk ins. No apology, offer to double check with management or of WiFi / phone to use to contact alternative accommodation just a suggestion that with no daylight we would definitely get a room if we continued driving to Watson Lake. Really disappointing experience for what initially looked like a really nice lodge. Edit to add context: They had rooms but were only going to offer them if we stayed for 2 nights, idk why they're trying to make it sound like they didn't have space below. Just something that they were apparently never going to follow through on?

Stopped here after a long 8 hours driving from Fort St. John through the Rockies in the winter. Are the rooms and food overpriced? Slightly yes. But honestly it’s hard to put a price tag on a clean room, hot shower & warm meal when it’s 0° out! It’s the only place for miles & I think it’s worth it depending on your circumstances. Staff were super nice and offered us free coffee, tea & cookies which was sweet. It’s a small little lodge so be prepared to also hear the other guests walking around, talking etc. nothing too crazy though. I’d recommend staying here if you’re in need of stopping.

Loved staying at this place! I have driven the Alaska highway three times and stayed here every time. The cabins are clean and well maintained, the lodge is beautiful, and the price is very fair for RV stays. Lots to do and see in the area including the hotsprings which are less than an hour away. Do not miss!!

Well I'm not one to normally leave reviews but I am seriously disappointed. We stayed at the main lodge for our stay, which is minimum $230 CAD per night, and we couldn't check in until 3, so we had a few hours to kill, we were going to do a hike but there ONLY 2 HIKES and they both looked really sub-par, so we asked instead if we could use the sauna, but since it's heated by fire and there was a fire band and we couldn't use it. Then we thought about renting a kayak or canoe, nope, can't do thay either. So then we just sat chatted in the lodge, our coffee and tea was complimentary, but they were always out of coffee and had zero hot water for us to use, so we had to ask for it every time we wanted some. Okay now the good stuff, when we finally got checked in, the room had no fridge, no internal phone and no ac, which we lived with by cracking a balcony door and put our stuff outside. We could get away with that now that it's fall, but what about summer? Anyways, time for supper. You could EITHER get take out (regular burger type stuff) OR spend $70 per person for a 3 course meal, THERE IS NO OTHER OPTION. So we did the 3 course meals, again my impression was pretty poor, my beef was dry and gristly, the veggies were overcooked and soggy, and the soup was SUPER spicy, which they never told us. When dessert came, I was more hopeful, but the brownie was way too sweet and the ice cream wasn't even a good quality ice cream. When we got back to the room to go to sleep, the pillows were really lumpy, like REALLY lumpy, and every time we moved around, the bed squeeked and it sounded like a plastic cover underneath thr sheets, so my husband and I both woke up EVERY time someone moved. Did I mention it was also $230 per night? We won't be staying again. How do you not have a lounge for your guests? How do you not have a gift shop to peruse around? How to you not have more hiking trails developed after 30 years? How do you not have canoes and kayaks to rent? Complimentary breakfast? Nope, breakfast not included. Oh and I forgot to add, we heard the kithing cleaning up dishes until 11 pm, and first thing at 6 am. There goes your sleep in time.

A little pricey food wise but man’s it was gourmet. The rooms were great, very comfortable. We only stayed one night to escape camping in the rain. but it was worth it. You get a discount on fuel if you stay.

The beds were clean and comfortable and staff were polite…however a few things fell short. Each bed had 3 pillows rather than 4, there was no microwave or kettle in my cabin and food orders end at 9ish so if u roll in late or have your own food it’s very inconvenient. You can access the lodge canteen but it’s limited and the lighting on the property is very poor making the walk over there a very very dark walk. There was no plunger…and a member of our group required one. And the internet was awful and would not work 95% of the time. Soo overall a decent place to sleep when you need a bed…but not the most comfortable place for the price.

Stunningly gorgeous! Lots of fun activities. There’s hiking trails, hot water springs, kayaks, canoe and motor boat rentals, fishing, float plane rides. You can stay in the main lodge, rent a cabin or bring your own RV. There’s even winter activities like ice skating and viewing the northern lights since the sky is so dark there. I passed on the hot water springs because it smells very strongly of sulfur and may stain your suit. Since mine was brand new I passed. That said, my two complaints would be no air conditioning but you can ask for a fan (I brought my own) and the breakfast was stupidly expensive at $26 for food that was no better than the free continental breakfasts I got at the 3 previous hotels in Canada. But the views are unsurpassable and the staff very pleasant. I ordered dinner for my room (since the earliest I could book dinner in the dining room wasn’t until 7:45pm) and was told to come back in 20 minutes to pick up my food. Ten minutes later the front desk gal was knocking on my door saying she didn’t want to just leave it sitting there getting cold since it got done early. Thank you!
