We had a wonderful time camping at Notchy Creek this past weekend! The campground is great and its close to lots of delicious places to eat, places to hike, and beautiful scenery. We will definitely be back!

Went there from Sept 26 to Oct 03. Wonferful campground on the river. Nice and clean, good sites with lots of privacy. Owner is cool and nice. Price for a night is very good and not going to brake your bank.

The best vacation I've had in a long time! The service and staff were great. My family and I had a wonderful 2 weeks! We had several family campers with lots of laughter, fellowship and the games and entertainment was right on! Please if you enjoy camping and get a chance to camp at Notchy Creek Campground do it you will not be disappointed!

Memorial weekend trip 2023. Here are the pros and cons of this campground: Pros: Friendly owners/staff. There ARE long term campers but everyone was nice and friendly. Good fishing spots. Nice sandy beach. Basketball court. The icecream truck came through which was fun. Decent camp store. We had a nice site (site 50) that allowed for a small trailer and tent. Felt safe. Cons: The biggest con for us was no cell service and no Wi-Fi (we have Verizon). Also could not hang hammocks in trees but was told this was a TVA rule. Not as scenic as some other campgrounds. Overall nice time. Check it out!

We just returned from a frigid weekend at Notchy Creek. Even though the snow/sleet was unexpected, we had a wonderful time. Campgrounds were clean and very family friendly! We will be returning (in warmer weather)

Went tent camping and it was nice , I don't understand why you couldn't run water back to the sites . But no big deal , my issue is I have a camper and couldn't get a spot and I've been looking for a spot by the lake and couldn't get it .so I decide to just tent camp , we'll I found out why I couldn't get a site , there all permanent sites, all the good sites are rented to permanent residence. So they leave the small sites to rent out but only a few. Overall

Two stars for tent camping. The four sites they offer should really be two at best. They packed a party of 4 adults and 6 children into a patch maybe 15x20. Our tent was literally 3 feet from our neighbor’s tent. The lake is awesome and you can access it from several other places. 🏕 👎 the RV situation seemed ok

If you have a large rig with full slideouts on both sides like us make sure to get site 29, so you can fit comfortably. Sandy, the park manager, was absolutely the best help ever and we arrived on the first day of our daughter starting virtual school and even with no internet she let her sit on her porch and use her wifi!! We brought our boat and the marina is the best aminity, and the rest of our stay she could use the internet on the lake. We did not have any problems being without service because we really did not go on vacation to be stuck to our phones and the peacefulness of being on the lake is what we really wanted. There is no sewer hookups but the dump station is conveniently located and with a family of 4 taking showers everyday we only had to dump the grey tank every three days and the black lasted the entire week we were there. If you bring a boat check out Calhoun's in Lenoir City for a good meal and you can go through the Fort Loudon locks after for a cool site. Where some reviews complained about full time campers there we seen no issue, we found it made the environment more friendly, homely, safe and peaceful. I saw where people complained about bathhouse too I found them to be cleaned everyday and yes the shower does conserve water by using a push button but it stays hot with good pressure and had no issues using it. Some others complained about deposit for gate pass and they must not do that anymore because we had our own code with no fee. You do have to be in the gate by 10 pm, but this is not a location near the city with night life so we didn't have any reason to stay out later then that anyway. We also had plenty of room to pull alongside the main entrance when we arrived at 3 am after driving for 12 hours and wait for the site to open and unload our trailer. Sandy also let us stay later in the afternoon so we didn't have to go through Atlanta on the way home during the day since we prefer to travel at night. The landing was for smaller boats but the public landing was literally outside the gate. The overflow parking area was also amazing for our truck and trailers. Everyone was so easy to talk to and this is truly God's country amongst God's people. McDonald's, gas stations and grocery stores were within 5 miles and don't listen to GPS taking you 2 hours on 144, follow I 75 in and GPS to the McDonald's in vonore tn and then to the campground to avoid single lane back roads with an RV cuz Google just don't know!!! Don't forget to check out the Lost Sea adventure too it was a remarkable cave system with underground pond :-o Overall if you are looking for peace and tranquility in the mountains on the river this is the place to stay... If you are looking to stay on your phone or computer and party you may want to go to the city.
