Wildland fire fighter here. we were posted at the tent site at Whitecap for the duration of our tour here. not only was the food fantastic, but the friendliness of the staff and the integrity if the kitchen crew was something to behold. we work a hard job, long hours. we couldn't couldn't do our jobs without them doing theirs. in a way they put some of those flames down. thanks for everything Diggys Diner! never written a google review in my life. probably wont write another.

We stayed here for 3 nights while we explored Barkerville. The sites were basic but had hookups. It's located on a small hill above the main road and the RV park is pretty run down. One bonus is the free laundry service. The bathrooms weren't cleaned on a daily basis. Perhaps they were short of workers due to the fire evacuation a few weeks prior. Despite the issues, the employees were very nice.

We stopped in Wells for a couple nights with another couple while visiting Barkerville. We stayed in this RV park and while there we met Shannon from the RV park and motel and Curtis from Diggy's Diner. These two are some of the nicest people we have ever met. Highlight of our trip through BC. Invited the four of us to a private Stanley Cup watch party. Had a great time and can't wait to return to Wells even if just to see these two again. The owners were fantastic. They are very well-trained and certified by the local tourism bureaus. She was gracious with me when checking in, sharing lots of local knowledge, having fantastic enthusiasm for her work, and willing to save us from an incoming rainstorm. The location was very pleasant, and my travelling party found it to be an oasis. I can not wait to come back to Wells as soon as possible! Travelling as a tenting guest, I was satisfied with the facilities they have on offer. I would certainly return here again.

We showed up at Nugget Hills on August 1 for a 4 day stay. It is now August 16 and are staying till the 22nd. Our hosts Shannon and Curtis are awesome. Extremely helpful and shared their knowledge of the area with us making our decision to keep extending our stay a simple one. We are now considering a possible summer long stay for next season as there is so much to do in the area and Wells is an amazing little town.
