I'm here for the Halloween fun. The parks does some ama#ing family fun stuff for the weekend. Tractor rides, silent auction, campsite decorations contest, haunted hikes, amazing food cooked by dnr and staff, the family who does the haunted forest are amazing and very nice people. The staff and dnr are friendly and very helpful with all your needs to have a fun family friendly camp/Halloween experience. Highly recommend coming for Halloween even if you do t have little ones. Come help support a beautiful state park. If you want to camp you better book a spot at least 6 months in advance.

Cool little nature center. We only did one trail but was neat, we crossed a dried up creek, and got to see some rock cliffs.

Had a wonderful time and will definitely be back to this state park. The mountain biking is awesome. The hiking would be just as beautiful, but I only had time to do one of the two. Mountain biking was the more important to me. It is a beautiful well-shaded Campground.

We camped at the campground 74 and A28 both flooded in overnight rain. Moved to site 47 and it was lovely. Pool no longer has slides which was a bit of a disappointment

We camped at O’Bannon Woods State Park for one night and had a great time with the family. The campground was peaceful, clean, and had everything we needed—picnic tables, fire rings, and clean restrooms. We grilled out, enjoyed some good food, and spent time hiking and exploring the trails. It’s a great spot to relax and recharge. The park is especially nice in the fall or spring when the weather is cooler and the views are beautiful. Perfect for a quick getaway with family. We’ll definitely be back!

Had a couple of great hikes here with a friend the other day. Highly recommend Ohio River Bluff Loop Trail (Rock bluffs, Ohio River, meadowed forest, Blue River, ridgeline) and the Rough Ridge Loop Trail (moderate forest hike with beat rocks and boulders and a beautiful creek area). Great variety of scenery and some nice moderate hikes!

Was in Louisville and this was recommended as the best place to get in some long mtb miles and it did not disappoint! Rode about 20 miles of the Adventure trail, counter clockwise starting just outside the park entrance. More elevation and tech than I expected made a bit more challenging by the leaf litter that covered the trail - something I’m not use to being a desert rider. A few hike-a-bike sections due to rocks/leaves/and incline, but a beautiful ride!

2024 marks the third year in a row that we’ve wrapped up our camping season at O’Bannon. It’s such a beautiful park, and my husband especially loves sitting by the Ohio River in the flat, tree-filled area at the end of one of the roads. Every year, we bring our travel trailer to the campgrounds for our final late-October camping trip before we winterize and store our rig. This year was just as lovely, though once again, we missed the fall color change by about a week or two. Since we’ve moved an hour north of where we were before, we now have a longer drive to get here. In future years, this final trip will likely last one or even two additional days, making the experience even better with more time in the great outdoors. It’s a peaceful and scenic spot that we always look forward to visiting.

Another wonderful Indiana State Park. What ever you do, you can do it here! Hiking, Biking, wild life watching, history, relaxing, camping with friends, you name it. We camped at site 84. The pad was fairly level but there was a step off that could cause you to trip if you weren’t paying attention. Fire pit are was clean and plenty of space to sit around the campfire. We were there on Memorial Weekend and it was very crowded. Lots of families, kids on bikes and scooters (they need to learn to look out for the walkers). We loved the Nature Center. It has a wonderful accessible 1 mile trail around it with information placards posted around the loop. There is a pioneer village with several exhibits that were very entertaining. We were also fortunate enough to see the huge Hay Press in operation with their oxen, Gump. The view of the Ohio River was amazing from the #2 Shelter House! I’m told they have an amazing pool but we did not use it however by the amount of hanging swimsuits and towels, it was well used! We will definitely consider returning.

Beautiful park. Large campground sites. Plenty of trails. Great views of the Ohio river. We kayaked the Blue river while in the area. There are many natural springs that feed into the Blue river.

Very pretty place I went to the pool lifeguards are right on top of everything it was very clean wasn't overcrowded what a given it five stars but I don't think you should pay to get into the park and then have to pay also for the pool it should be one of the other and they don't give any discounts at the front gate for the handicap/ disabled.
