Location & Surroundings

Situated in West Greenwich, the park is strategically located near the junction of Interstate 95 and Route 3, making it highly accessible for large rigs. Despite its proximity to major transit routes, the grounds feel secluded thanks to the dense forest canopy and the rolling hills of the surrounding countryside. The area is just a short drive from the Connecticut border and is bordered by expansive conservation lands. This location provides a gateway to the Big River Management Area, offering thousands of acres of undeveloped space for guests to enjoy.

Families appreciate the well-maintained playground and dedicated sports areas, which include basketball courts and horseshoe pits for friendly competition. Practical needs are addressed through clean bathhouses and laundry facilities. Furthermore, the on-site camp store is stocked with ice, firewood, and basic necessities, ensuring that your RV is well-prepared for any length of stay.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

The central location of the park makes it easy to explore Rhode Island's diverse landscapes and historic sites. Outdoor enthusiasts can quickly reach the Arcadia Management Area, which is famous for its extensive network of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. For those craving the coast, the famous beaches of Narragansett and the Gilded Age mansions of Newport are within a comfortable driving distance. Additionally, visitors can enjoy Stepping Stone Falls, a picturesque local landmark perfect for afternoon picnics and nature photography sessions during the autumn months.

My organization hosted an event there for four days. With a total of around 250 people coming out. Staff was amazing and made sure everything went off with out a hitch. The yearly campers came out had fun with us. We made sure to include everyone. We had an amazing time there and could have not been happier with how it all worked out. Personally would be go back just for the comfort and fun my family had. But the accommodation that shown and given to my organization really should. I would rate it 10-10 if I could. Also having the speed radar outside the camp had my guys running for top speed

The campsites were ridiculously small for the not seasonal people. We were put next to a huge hill that seemed to be either active or an old sewer so the amount of flies was absolutely horrible. The pool was cloudy and didn't look like it had been cleaned. The staff was very friendly but we will definitely not be coming back here at all.

The campground was nice but to small for our RV. The pool was kinda green and the playground wasn't usable due to a bee infestation. The staff was absolutely amazing though.

Many of the tent sites have large, dead standing trees (widow makers). I normally would not make camp under such a threat but there were no other options available. The facilities and staff were great otherwise. Nice big pool and lots of scheduled activities for the whole family.
