This is a Resort/Camping grounds for people 55+ "Snow Birds" and year round residents, right there at Lake Lowry. The grounds are clean and well maintained, a quiet community. There are RVs, Mobile Homes, and Cottages. My rent is $533, which includes water, trash & sewage. My Power bill is quite reasonable during the fall, winter & spring. The summer heat does drive the bill sky high but I figured out ways to bring it down! There are lots of activities to choose from to participate in. This is a great place to live!

If you desire peace and quiet...and a little fishing, this is heaven. Sunrise is a daily habit, with coffee. A pool or beach would make it even better! The staff are wonderful, always helping and checking on my welfare.

We loved it, stayed in our camper there, already scheduled next year, and don't plan on staying anywhere else. Steve and Pam

The entrance into the park is lovely. The lake is beautiful. Absolutely no amenities whatsoever so ever . So you either walk , boating, do activities at sunset hall . But like me I don’t care to play Bingo , do crafts, ect .

Very nice quiet park. A little cumbersome to get to but go slow and you'll be fine. It's 10 minutes to get to a highway to get anywhere. The roads in the park itself are teeny tiny. The spaces to park are of mixed review. Our spot, 82, was excellent. Great scenery. Cranes out your window daily. Very clean and well maintained. Communication with the office is touch and go. Probably won't stay here again because of the location mostly.

Since Jan 2022, when the park sold, everything has changed. Management doesn't enforce the rules equally for everyone, and the rules change frequently without notification. The waterfront fishing pier has been underwater for at least a year and has not been repaired. All the wonderful activities they talk about are bingo and pot lucks. No significant improvements have been made, but prices are going up. It seems like the new owner wants us all to leave. Negative management including ordering me to cease putting up my display screen in my yard that was used to celebrate holidays and other special days including displaying my American flag and my father's folded triangular flag in a display case on Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Veteran's Day. He was a WWII veteran. And we only put the display up for a few days at a time. 3 days is the usual display time. Done for the 3 day holiday weekend. We were actually asked to do this by the former park owner who built the park.

Where to begin... owner & Manager are not RV friendly. They are gradually making this into a mobile home park, buying and adding mobile homes one at a time. We are full time RV people. After viewing pricing and details on the website, we called and got the same pricing from park manager. So we decided to visit and check it out. We fell in love with a waterfront site. The price of the lot changed three times while we were there. In hindsight we should’ve taken that as a clue and got the hell out, but we loved the and made a reservation for a 6/6 stay which requires the 2nd 6 moths to be paid up front. Two days later the manager called and tried to talk us into taking our 2nd choice because they wanted to put a mobile home on the site we chose, we declined. Two weeks later we moved in. Once we got settled, the manager having seen my near perfect credit score tried talking me in to paying 12 months rent within the 70 days (Oct 24-Jan1). She even went as far as telling me, “I told the owner you wont need 6 months to pay, you can do it in 3.” When I told her that made no sense she tried to make it sound like she was giving me 4 months to pay which still made no sense Considering only six months was due up front. The last straw was when she called and told us the owner drove by and saw we had 2 vehicles and said we had to move one of them to the overflow lot which was aprox 1/4 mile walk from our site. We both have jobs and could not see ourselves walking a quarter of a mile every morning to get to our car and then a quarter of a mile every evening to get to our home. We had told her up front what we had, who we are, how we live, no secrets. Anyway we ended up moving to another park. Beautiful lake, fishing pier was under water for at least 4 weeks that we know of. amazing waterfront view but they are placing permanent mobile homes on those sites.

Great place to visit and great place to stay! We retired and spent our first winter at Oak Harbor. The people are so friendly it was like coming home. So .. just a few days before we left we decided to buy a place on the canal. We love it. Come out and experience it yourself. You won't regret it.
