I will admit that I don’t like calling places, so having to call here instead of booking online was an inconvenience for me. Buuuut it was so worth it - this is the quietest, prettiest campground I’ve come across in a while. Spanish moss hanging from the trees, cows grazing on the other side of the fence, a pool, dog park, play area for the kids… did I mention quiet?? It was so lovely. Our lot wasn’t super level but we had what we needed to level our trailer.

This is a very nice and clean campground. The bathhouses are kept extremely clean. We had a great stay the week after July 4th. The only bad thing is this campground is infested with little black ants. We noticed ants in our camper after being there 1 day. I saw an employee riding on a golf cart and explained the problem to her and she promised that they would be back to treat my campsite. I told her the ant nests were in the landscaping and that’s the area that needed to be treated. There was never any evidence that they treated our campsite for ants and they did not follow up with us to see if the problem improved. We bought 2 different brands of ant traps and 2 different sprays. The sprays were effective where you could see them and where you are willing to spray poison in your camper. The ants were immune to the bait traps. They knew what the traps were and completely avoided them. We got a 3rd trap and that didn’t work either. We got home from the trip and found 2 ant nests in our camper. We had professional ant bait at home from our exterminator and used that when we got home. We thought we had taken care of the problem until we started packing it again 3 weeks later. We still have multiple nests in the camper and it will need to be professionally exterminated. This is a great campground but be prepared to have to have your camper professionally exterminated to get rid of the pests you will be infested with from this campground.

While we enjoy the campground and have saved several times, the management really needs to get it's act together. Each stay it's become more and more frustrating. You can't book online (it's 2025!). They don't answer when you call and don't return calls when you leave a message saying you want to book. I get it, you don't want our money. Moving on to the next closest campground which even has concrete pads.

Fantastic campground, very clean, gorgeous trees and lots of space between spots. Very welcoming staff, wonderful! We were very last minute but they got us a reservation. Highly recommend this campground!

We stayed here for a few days through the Fourth of July it was a beautiful campground. The staff picked out a very nice area for our little RV we made ourselves. We had shade and good walking distance to the bathhouse which was very clean itself. The bathrooms were always stocked with hand soap and toilet paper. The lawn was very maintained also. We had a picnic table at our site to use and the ground wasn’t muddy everything was maintained nicely. It rained there for our stay on and off and the ground wasn’t muddy at all. We were arriving late and they left our information on the door and allowed us to check in by 9am the next morning which made that very convenient. When we checked in the guy that was working there was very nice and professional, he explained everything to us even gave a map of the campground and in that map gave information for right turns to get to places because of the heavy traffic there which makes a left turn out nearly impossible. This campground was close to everything even the beaches was only 45 minutes away. We hated to leave we really enjoyed the area. The campground was very quiet also and everyone respected each other there. No loud music or anything to worry about. When we were checking out the same guy gave us souvenirs to have from the campground which was very thoughtful. Something we thought was neat was they offer dvd rental which we didn’t use but it brought back good memories of being able to go to a video store. They also have items you may need to purchase at the check in site. This campground was prepared for everything we honestly had no complaints and nothing to worry about. We will definitely be back to stay and we can’t wait. It’s not a hotel area to stay but I rated everything I could high and talked about everything we experienced.

Oak Plantation is a very nice campground. But BEWARE!!! The entrance into the park is horrendous. The traffic is insane almost all day. You cannot turn left into the park. It’s bumper to bumper right out side the entrance. We saw at least one accident during our stay. Just make sure you are ready. Otherwise, the campground is very nice. Laid out well. Good sites. Ask for a gravel if you can. Especially if rain is predicted. The utilities were fine but our power EMS shutdown due to a lost ground one evening. Just for a few seconds. Water is very soft. Almost slipped in our shower but skin is soft now. The location, minus the entrance traffic, is great. Went to Folly Beach and into Charleston on our visit. Oh, there are like 8 speed humps in this place. These are crazy to maneuver with a motorhome. Some are quite high. Be careful.

Beautiful park with nice sites… cable tv was excellent. Wi-fi spotty of course. Food truck on site with good food. Would recommend this park. My only Negative was too many speed Humps. 2 within 50 feet of office entrance. 1 would’ve been enough.

Nice campground. Very nice spots. Nice dog park. They have a propane fill also. Traffic in the area is high, but not the campgrounds fault.

Called and left a message with an odd request for a last-minute, very short-term spot to test our newly acquired RV. They called back half an hour later and were courteous and gave a fair rate. Check in was a breeze and the little store seems to have most of the essentials. The park appeared well maintained and the spot we got was spacious. I only hung around a couple hours but the neighbors seemed friendly. Filled up on LP on the way out. I'll definitely come back when we're ready to overnight test the unit!

How can I make reservations when you never answer the phone or return phone calls. Edited... Unfortunately I had to call back to make a reservation. Very clean campground, well maintained. Good size sites. Everyone was very friendly except for the rude, nasty girl that I made my reservation with. Only downfall is the traffic. Highly congested area.
