This place is a gem! We had such a wonderful time. When we first arrived the owner suggested site 322 instead of the site we had picked. She was sooooo correct. The site is huge and full shade! Close to the pool and a short walk down the campground road to the river. This place is like heaven on earth! Even walking through the campground on the road felt like a hike in the woods. The owner is very friendly and kind. I highly recommend this campground. The roads driving around the campground are a rough but honestly we didnt mind at all. Still the best campsite/campground we have been to! Wonderful wifi which was an unexpected surprise. Such a relaxing, beautiful, and peaceful place to visit. Grab a Benny’s pizza just down the road at some point. Yummy!

There was a storm the night before we got there. And alot of wash out but we couldn't get into our site. If we did we wouldn't have gotten out. But the place it self was in poor condition even before the storm. Would not recommend

What a great vacation spot! We were so happy with the beautiful views, relaxed atmosphere, and clean facilities. We decided to get a seasonal site & are very excited about staying there again!!!

I really didn't want to leave here. My son and I traveled around the whole country, and I would 100% put this campground at the top of our favorites! The sites are spacious, and it's truly unbeatable being right on the river! Restrooms were clean with hot showers, and the laundry was affordable. We weren't there in season to enjoy the pool, but I'm sure it's great. There's a campstore and wifi available! There are plenty of things to do in the area, although I don't know why you'd want to leave. Surrounded by trees on a clear river, listening to trout jumping is all just so incredible. The owner seems like a wonderful lady, and the other campers were welcoming as well! Can't wait to visit again!

My dad and I take an annual camping trip to a different state every year and this place was amazing. We had the perfect campsite right on the river and it was gorgeous! The site itself was flat but had lots of river rocks so make sure you bring a good thick pad to sleep on. Our site even had running water and an electrical outlet. Lots of hiking, cider mills, and lakes in the area! We can’t wait to go back!

Love this place! Very sweet owner, lovely grounds. Family friendly. The river is gorgeous. Saw reviews being critical of the road, this is a pretty standard dirt road if you’ve been in the country at all..just drive slowly you’ll be fine. Pool area is nice. Little store has anything you may forget to bring. Great deal on firewood plus they give you kindling. Easy walk from cozy cabins down to the river where we got to see a bald eagle in the morning. Will for sure camp here again!!

We really enjoyed this campground. At first I was nervous because there seemed to be a lot of people on each campsite. But we got to ours, a waterfront site, and it was as secluded as we were hoping. The river was roaring so loud we didn't need to use our sound machine for the baby, the sound and the water was beautifully comforting. The grounds are gorgeous, the bathrooms are totally fine, the roads are incredibly bumpy, the owner is really great. We will absolutely be going back.

Overall it is okay and likely the most cost effective in the area. Booked a 33' travel trailer on site 408. My sister with her 25' class C took 407. They are very challenging sites to get into and don't really have a level spot. The loop around that part of the campground is pretty insane trying to navigate with truck and trailer and there are so many branches everywhere that need to be trimmed. Very close quarters and lots of turning to avoid trees on both sides of that road/ through s-turns etc. I didn't go in the pool but the kids had a good time. The owners were nice and were accommodating as they could be. Wifi was decent though signal was a little poor out in our sites. Really, I just want to warn people about sites 407 and 408 and the road to/ from if they're camping with anything much more than a pop-up. Lots of branches came down in some rain overnight without much wind so I'd recommend checking your roof each morning. Lastly, the grass sites across from the pool probably allow for a better experience, and maybe shame on us for not booking those. I still rated the campground overall as far as facilities, biking, cleanliness, etc.

My husband and I (and 3 young kiddos) decided to reserve a seasonal site at Oakland Valley Campground this year. We are so happy with our decision! It has quickly become our home-away-from-home. The owners, and staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. It is the perfect place to unplug and enjoy family time, surrounded by nature. We spend most of our time exploring the river, swimming in the pool, riding bikes, grilling, crafting, and sitting by the fire. It's like medicine for our souls after a busy work week. Their firework diaplay this past weekend was amazing! We have made so many memories already, and we still have 3 months left.
