Oaklawn RV Park

Overview

Oaklawn RV Park offers a serene, shaded environment for travelers visiting the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Nestled under majestic mature oak trees, the park provides a quiet alternative to the high-energy casino resorts found closer to the shoreline. It effectively balances a peaceful atmosphere with modern conveniences, ensuring that guests have a comfortable home base while exploring Biloxi and the nearby coastal communities.

Location & Surroundings

The park is conveniently situated north of I-10, making it an easy and accessible stop for long-distance travelers moving across the South. Despite its proximity to major transit routes, the setting is surprisingly tranquil, characterized by lush greenery and spacious lots. The surrounding area maintains a suburban feel, providing a buffer from the heavy traffic of the beach highway while remaining just a short drive from the Biloxi waterfront and the nearby town of Ocean Springs.

Amenities & Park Features

Practicality is a priority at this facility, which features full hookup sites equipped with both 30 and 50-amp electrical service for all types of rigs. Guests can enjoy well-maintained concrete pads and paved interior roads that simplify the parking process. The park includes essential facilities such as a clean swimming pool, modern laundry rooms, and a community clubhouse for social gatherings. These features are designed to support long-term residents or quick overnight visitors with equal efficiency.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Staying here places you within minutes of the world-class casinos and vibrant nightlife that define the Biloxi skyline. Beyond the gaming floors, visitors can explore the white sand beaches of the Gulf Coast or take a ferry to Ship Island for a day of exploration. Nature enthusiasts often visit the nearby Gulf Islands National Seashore, while foodies appreciate the proximity to authentic Mississippi seafood restaurants and the boutique shopping districts in the artsy neighboring town of Ocean Springs.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is ideal for travelers who prefer a quiet, laid-back atmosphere over the noise of a bustling resort environment. It is a fantastic choice for retirees, snowbirds, and couples looking for a peaceful retreat that still offers easy access to local entertainment. Because of its spacious pull-through sites and proximity to the interstate, it also serves as an excellent midpoint for those navigating a cross-country journey through the Magnolia State.

Small, clean and quiet park located close to I10. Great location if you need tires or RV parts/repairs as there is a Camping World and tire place within walking distance! We were in site 111, a mostly level packed gravel FHU pull-through site that accommodated our 32’ Class C towing a VW Beetle on a tow dolly without unhooking. There are back-in and pull-through slips and it looked like most of the people here are long timers. Did not use facilities or WiFi as we had full bars on ATT and 3 bars on Verizon. Good Sam discount brought price to $38. Great place for a one-nighter.

I spent nearly a year at this campground and had a few concerns. First off, parking is a nightmare for both regular vehicles and RVs due to limited space. Also, the WiFi is unreliable, and despite numerous complaints, the manager, Jim, still needs to take steps to improve it. There's also an issue with favoritism; some residents seem to get special treatment and aren't held to the same rules as everyone else. I recently had an essential package and other mail delivered to the campground after my departure. I contacted the manager, Jim, on the day of delivery to request he set them aside for me. Despite my efforts and delivery confirmation from the postal service, Jim denied receiving the items and sent them back on the same day. This, coupled with the fact that he was rehired after being fired for poor performance, really questions the management's reliability and accountability. I hope the situation at the campground improves and that they consider how the management is handling things.

We just moved in to the “trailer side” and absolutely love how calm it is - as well as the effort from management to keep the place tidy and in order. Very upfront about the rules so I’m not understanding all of these negative reviews - and y’all it floods in coastal Mississippi! 😂 all travelers beware, you will endure puddles in the bottom of our state. All that being said, this isn’t your average trailer park BECAUSE of how strict our management is, which makes it a calm and family friendly environment that sets it apart from other trailer and rv parks. We’re not planning on going anywhere soon, we and the kids are perfectly happy!

Nice and convenient park for a quick overnight while passing through. There were alot of full time residents in the park but room for transients. Park has full hookups and price wasn't too bad although I would expect some amenities for the price. Check in was easy as no one was in the office so we parked and had no interaction with the staff.

Decent pricing for the stay. Overall location is what won for us. Right off the highway and 10 minutes from all of the attractions in the area. Loved that it’s next to a Camping World, tire shop, and emergency vet. What more could you ask for when traveling across country? Great for a layover. Negatives: small sites that overlap and it’s more of a mobile home park than an RV park. Also, water pressure wasn’t great so our pump kept engaging.
