Wild, basic, charming, big gator, birds, large ponds, infrequent small black bear, woods, Spanish moss. Near highway, evening and morning rush hour traffic. Low cost, extremely low cost with silver national discount for older or disabled. Outhouse style bathrooms, no showers, various community water faucets for carry back, RVs campers or tents. Must sleep on site first night.

Contrary to online reports that the campground is open even during the federal shut down the front gate is locked. Be aware because Recreation.gov will still allow you to make a reservation and then they will not provide any refunds buyer beware

Very quiet, Was the only one there, excluding camp host who was very nice and helpful. Great hiking Trails all around, and so buetiful! You can even drink the water. Great lightning show at night. Camp sites are big and have plenty of separation. Only thing that made me give it 4 stars is it's kinda close to a highway. But that doesn't matter 2 much if your in the back.

As of 11/21/2024 this campground is temporarily closed. We arrived at the campground but the gate is closed. When we get the opportunity to stay, I will re-rate it.

Large level sites, mostly no pads. Ask about horse trail for hiking. Good water. Great host. Unfortunately amount of road noise, although road is not visible. I would use again for sure.

Beautiful little campground with vault toilets, dump station, and water slickers throughout grounds, but no hookups. Seems to be lacking a bit on maintenance and there were some other attendees that made me a bit uncomfortable but didn't bother us. Only $10 a night! Where you turn off the highway is extremely rough, enter carefully, and there is a lot of trash on the county road, but the campground itself is mostly trash free.

Basic camping here. Sites are big and each has a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Water is available as well as a dumpsite. There are 2 restroom buildings. No shower facilities on site.

This campground is supposed to open each year in October however we went out there today and found it padlocked shut. November is almost over and it looks like this place has not been opened at all for the season. No signage indicates what's going on and it looks pretty much deserted.

Wonderful camping. Nice sites and very quiet. Pit toilets, water spickets throughout campground, and dump station. Couldn't beat the price either.
