Great campsites for car and small RV camping in a large wooded area with several site "loops." Good for long walks. Short walk on a trail to a long sandy beach. You can also drive to the beach and drive ON the beach to find a good spot. Horse rentals available at the beach parking lot. Each campsite has a picnic table and room for 1-2 tents. Public water spigots. Some group sites with large clearings could fit up to 6 cars. Some sites shadier than others but lots of good shade and dry plots with pine needles. Well configured. Some very large trees and tall bushes provide some privacy but sites are next to each other and you can see and hear other campers. Noise was minimal when we were there even with neighbors (Sunday and Monday night). Ample number of restrooms (family style) and private shower rooms with bench and sink and hot water, though we heard a few people complain of hot water running out. Rangers clean and mop the restrooms daily or twice daily. Clean and stocked with TP and soap every time we used them. Narrow paved roads perfect for kids to bike or walk around safely. Some parking for day visitors. We especially enjoyed the wildlife, squirrels, deer and crows mainly, who seemed to be in charge and relatively unafraid. A deer with her two baby fauns visited our campsite twice. Once eating the berries on nearby bushes. Around 530 am we heard the hooves of the baby fauns leaping past our tents chasing each other back and forth through the trees and across our campsite. Adorable! The rangers made rounds several times a day to look for non-paying interlopers, asked us to park on the gravel, reminding folks of the fire ban, etc., in general doing a great job of keeping the area safe and orderly. No rowdy groups or loud music. We will definitely come back.

Not sure how to feel about this campground honestly. The campsite itself was a decent size so that's a perk. Very close to Ocean Shores but far enough off the road to not hear any road noise. There was a fire ban in effect when we were there which was weird since the ground at our campsite was muddy, but whatever, better to be safe the sorry I guess. Mosquitos were pretty bad here, but that's what you get camping in Western Washington. The bathrooms were falling apart though. I understand salty air is hard on facilities but this was the worst State Campground bathroom we have seen so far. Showers didn't have hot water, faucets barely worked, stalls were high enough that it wasn't giving you much in the way of privacy. Just dirty with cob webs and bugs all over. Easy access to the beach though so that's nice. No playground for the kids unfortunately. I can't say we will coming back here any time soon.

Just recently stayed here at the park on a whim. Reserved site 154 for 2 nights 3 days. Was a really small spot. Nothing exciting about it at all. The spot anyways. Fit my truck/cab over camper as well as a 6 man tent. The park was nice. Very clean. Was full. The trails were nice. The facilities were nice, clean and well stocked. Seen a lot of parks people cleaning and bustling around the park during my stay. There was a natural fire burn ban happening while I was there. So that was a bit of a bummer. Another downfall was the lack of trash cans and dumpsters. Seemed they were all located in the one loop near the exit. I get thats easy for the garbage guy, but not so easy for handicap campers a long walk from that loop. Beach wasn't too far of a walk. Was a good experience. Would stay again. Would definitely pick a larger more secluded site.

We spent July 4th at Ocean City State Park Beach and had a really great time overall. The beach is big, breezy, and beautiful — perfect for bonfires, fireworks, and family fun. The park staff were wonderful — respectful, helpful, and clearly working hard to keep everything clean and welcoming. Just a heads-up if you’re planning to cook: there aren’t picnic tables or grills directly on the beach, only a few near the restrooms, so it’s a good idea to bring your own setup. One of the best parts is the drivable beach access, which isn’t something you commonly see. We used the Ocean City beach entrance to drive up to the beach, located a bit further down from the main state park entrance. There’s also a trail from the main park area that leads to the beach if you’re walking in from the campground or day-use area. Usually, it isn’t very crowded, but events like July 4th can bring a very different energy to this long, beautiful coastline — festive, vibrant, and lively. I’d definitely say it’s a must-visit. That said, we did notice the crowd felt a bit more homogenous than what you might expect at a large public celebration. There was one brief moment that felt unexpectedly uncomfortable — not confrontational, but enough to shift the energy for us. It passed quickly, but it stayed with us. Still, the day was full of positive moments, and the care shown by the park staff truly made a difference. We’d happily return and hope this beautiful space continues to feel welcoming to all who visit.

Great place just happened to find a couple of recliners on the beach you never had such a good relaxing comfortable beach with my son. You stay there for a couple days. Enjoy being bored watching the kites and people. Add pizza from the local pizza joint very good. Best place to be bored with your teenager... The dog Taco very good time. How much needed relaxing 😎
