I recently found out you can soak for free on your birthday. My son and I decided to go check it out. It was such a great experience. I wish I had gone sooner. The drive isn't too bad from Albuquerque; about 2 hours. We did the day pass. It's a very nice place. All the different soaking areas were great. It's so beautiful during the day but especially at dusk. The only thing I wished I had done differently is go earlier. I was trying to wait until the temperature was higher before we went, but honesty, the pools were so warm that even the cool breeze wasn't a big deal. The staff were helpful, but not super friendly. A little smile goes a long way. I will definitely return. I think this is my new favorite place. :)

My wife and I just spent a night in the Cliffside Suites for our honeymoon. We had gotten engaged here 2 years prior and just needed to come back! The tranquility and peaceful quiet is unmatched. With the Cliffside Suites you get your own Kiva fireplace, large living space, kitchenette, and a private patio with your own private hotspring tub. As with most of Northern New Mexico, the still, clear night skies make for some of the best star viewing you can ask for. The private large soaking spring makes for less hassle and much more privacy makes for a perfect get away. We had a complimentary half bottle of sparkling wine for our honeymoon. The perfect romantic couples getaway with the best location Northern New Mexico has to offer. Restaurant is reasonably priced and the food is delicious!

This was my second visit and wow what an amazing experience. This is truly an oasis in the desert mountains! It is very fancy and resort like in a small town in the middle of nowhere. This resort has everything you could want in a hot springs spa experience. And the restaraunt and wine bar are fantastic as well. The restaraunt has unique farm to table southwestern inspired cuisine and has vegan, vegetarian and carnivore options. This is a destination every time im in this area!

Beautiful location. The soaking pools are very relaxing. The soaking hours for overnight guests only are truly tranquil. However, once the day pass people arrive it becomes quite crowded. They need to limit the amount the amount of day passes provided. The historic hotel rooms are sparse but clean; definitely paying for the experience and not the room. I enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch with a glass of wine at night.

We had a wonderful girls getaway (4 nights) at Ojo Caliente. All five of us stayed on property and had a mixture of accommodations....all suits in varying sizes from the Plaza Suite up to the Posi Suite. We gathered in the evening at the Posi Suite as it's large enough to accommodate the entire group for drinks, casual dinner, and soaking in the hot tub on the private patio. Each of us was happy with our accommodations. I gave 4 stars on rooms because a couple of us had bathrooms that while fine could use some updating. We went to the spa twice while at Ojo and loved our services and the technicians. The star of the resort is the natural beauty all around and the amazing mineral pools. They offer a 9:00 am yoga class in the morning. Each instructor was knowledgable, welcoming and friendly and the class is free! Arrive 10 mins early as the class is limited to 15 and fills up. We all came away restored and refreshed. A BIG shout out to Danny who mans the gate house!!!! He is so friendly and jumped right in when we needed help taking a group photo in front of the beautiful Ojo sign. I am already planning my next trip back to Ojo!

The Roger

We visit about once a year. Very nice facility. Weekends tend to be busier than weekdays. We have stayed in rooms and in the campground and both are adequate. If you have never been, go early and try every pool as they are all different. Very quiet, and young children are not allowed on the pool area.

I really enjoyed this place so it is 4 stars but there is a caveat. Drove all the way from Dallas, TX to experience it and definitely was disappointed in a few things. The first thing was that we got there at 6pm. By 6:30pm the mud pool was closed for cleaning. If this is a normal thing please let people know right away so they don’t miss it, especially if they are just doing a day pass. The next thing is there should be more clear signage of where pools are, the names and a description of the benefits of the pool. It was inconsistent. Some pools had their name but no description and vice versa. Also pools were hidden so maybe provide a map because we didn’t even find the dry sauna or the steam room. We just left without using it. Also there were moments groups of people weren’t respecting the quiet atmosphere and ruined it for us. This should be enforced better. Next, the soda pool was dirty. There were hair and feathers in there it was gross. The last thing is just customer service could be better. We were given our bands and info about the locker but miss opportunity to talk about available services or something as simple as how do we get robes if possible. I feel like because we just did the day pass we were just looked over. Also I understand why you wouldn’t want people having drinks near the pool, but I think this is also a missed opportunity. There could be better regulations and rules to allow drinks which would make the experience more enjoyable.

I had an absolutely astounding time at Ojo Caliente 🌈✨️💖 All the staff were incredibly helpful, attentive, and kind. The grounds were superbly clean. I loved soaking in the healing waters and drinking the locally sourced filtered water. I visited for a day trip and found the price to be well worth the experience. I loved the soda, iron, lithia, arsenic, comprehensive mineral (all minerals) pools, and the mud bath!! Off top of my head, I visited 9 pools, and that's not even all of them!! I did a circuit of those 9 at least twice with a shower before and two showers and a scrub in between. The best part about the pools, other than the natural healing waters, is the unique design of each. Different shapes, depths, and fountain features make each a wonderful soaking experience 💜 The women's day spa bath house was wonderfully clean. As a woman with very sensitive skin, I don't often use facility provided soap, shampoo and conditioner. But, I decided to give the Ojo Caliente provided toiletries a try and was not dissapointed!! Made with locally sourced botanicals, they were gentle for my skin 🙏🏿 The locally sourced filtered water was so delicious and fresh, I drank 3 of my 64oz jugs during my 9 hours of soaking (and refilled prior to leaving!)!! I wish I could have stayed longer 🥹🙌🏿🙏🏿 next time, I'm going to stay in the suites and soak at night while watching the stars in New Mexico, I feel it will be fantastically romantic!! Would love to bring my sister and Mom to experience the healing waters for a woman's health day 😌

Ojo Caliente has been one of our favorite getaways for years — it’s truly a peaceful and restorative escape. The setting is beautiful, the waters are healing, and the overall atmosphere is unlike anywhere else. During a recent stay, we had a concern that we brought to management’s attention, and they responded with care, professionalism, and a thorough follow-up. We appreciated their transparency and how seriously they take guest feedback. We’re grateful for places like Ojo and look forward to visiting again.

I had a wonderful and relaxing day at Ojo Caliente. I rarely leaves reviews but I felt I really needed to shine light on the associate who checked me in and assisted me when I had questions. Ashley checked me in upon arrival for my day pass and she was beyond kind and personable. I felt completely aware of all protocols, she answered all my questions and while I walked the area, she recognized me, greeted me and asked how my day was going so far. She even went out of her way to find the answer to a question I had. I really appreciate when hosts, hospitality staff, or front desk make it a point to ensure all guests are having a wonderful experience. Ashley definitely left an impression, and not just because her nails are so pretty! I hope this kind of positive attitude is shared amongst all members at Ojo Caliente. Thank you for having Ashley as a member and thank you to Ashley for being so kind and generous. I look forward to my next future visit to Ojo Caliente.
