Beautiful spot but man. Something is wrong with those pit toilets. Stinkiest I’ve ever smelled. Needs more enzymes? And the water spigot nearest us was missing its handle.

Was fantastic other than the people across the creek from blasting techno music more than half the time we were there. But that was our neighbors for the weekend, not the location itself. It was beautiful.

It was fun at first until I was woken up by a member of the forest service banging on the side of my truck yelling that I need to pay which I hadn’t known yet. I did end up paying and went on my way. Very rude experience but besides that was a very good campsite.

Secluded. Clean, cold river to relax near and dip into. Went during the week and we hardly saw anyone. The campground host was friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Buy firewood before getting to the campground. $5-$6 bundle at roadside locations.

Nestled in the heart of nature, Salmon La Sac Campground is truly a hidden gem! Surrounded by two stunning rivers, this campground offers an incredible blend of beautiful scenery and vibrant wildlife that makes for an unforgettable outdoor experience. One of the highlights of our visit was the chance to encounter various wildlife. We were fortunate enough to spot a black bear leisurely wandering nearby, which was an exhilarating sight. Additionally, we came across mountain tigers and several deer, all contributing to the enchanting atmosphere of this wilderness retreat. The abundance of salmon in the rivers added to the visual spectacle and highlighted the area's rich ecological diversity. The campground itself is well-maintained, with numerous spots perfect for setting up a tent or camper. There are plenty of trails to explore, each offering unique views and encounters with nature. Whether you enjoy a leisurely walk or a more challenging hike, there’s something for everyone. The surrounding landscape is breathtaking, with towering trees and picturesque river views that make for great photo opportunities. In summary, Salmon La Sac Campground is an amazing place for anyone who loves the outdoors. The combination of stunning natural beauty, abundant wildlife, and excellent trails creates an idyllic setting for camping and exploration. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking adventure and tranquility in nature!

One of the best places to camp in the state. We had a blast kayaking down the river to the lake.

Beautiful Forest Service campground. Fully paved roads and camp sites. No services or RV hook-ups. Potable water on site from a number of hand pump locations. Pit toilets. Well-maintained, but very rustic. No cell service of any kind. Come prepared. Nearest services are near The towns of Ronald, Roslyn and Cle Elum.

Beautiful campground that is clean and great for getting away. Many double sites and other unique camp spots. Good selection of tent spots and others better for trailers and RVS. Can get pretty cool at night. Make reservations as early as you can. This area is pretty close to heaven. Lots of exploring in the area. Trailhead parking nearby for the backpackers.
