Known for its quiet, natural beauty, the park provides a classic lakeside camping experience that emphasizes the outdoors over resort-style luxuries. It serves as a peaceful retreat where visitors can trade city noise for the gentle lapping of waves and the shade of towering pine trees that define the Georgia landscape.

Location & Surroundings

Nestled in the heart of Georgia's lake country near Greensboro, the park occupies a prime peninsula on the eastern side of Lake Oconee. Boating and fishing are the primary draws for visitors, with the lake being famous for its largemouth bass and crappie. Golf enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to world-class courses at nearby luxury resorts, while nature lovers can explore the trails of the Oconee National Forest, which provides additional opportunities for hiking and wildlife viewing just a short drive away.

Very relaxing and peaceful. The park hosts were kind and helpful. It had a cute beach and playground as well as tons of picnic tables. They also had bathrooms easily accessible.

This place is shady and very clean. 5 dollars a day for a pass but they have parking, beach area, grills and tables. Roads are paved and easy to navigate. People at the main gate are friendly and helpful, I wish I would have knew about it when my four kids were coming up. I would have took them here and not to holiday park. Bathrooms everywhere and walking into the water is smooth and not rocky.

Absolutely beautiful camp ground. We have been going here for all of our lives and never had any issues. You will need ant spray due to ants but they don't bite. Bathrooms have been remodeled and are nice.
