This place is terrific. Off exit 392 on I 90. Half way between Billings n Bozeman. Nice grass. Spotless showers n laundry. Nice people. The grounds are great. The tiny town is funky, cool, and welcoming. I had a fun dinner at the saloon two blocks down. And the saloon is dog friendly. Loved it. I’ll be back !!

This was the cutest little town ever! Such a beautiful campground- well worth the money. The service was excellent, the host met us personally, even gave us a flashlight and waste bag holder for our pet. With more and more campgrounds not offering full service, it was a joy to have 50amp service, water and sewer. The water was nice too.

I would give this place 1,000 stars if I could. It’s just THAT great!!! First of all, the people who own this park are amazing people. They are beyond nice, attentive and they actually come out and introduce themselves and offer help. We have stayed here for 3 nights and they make you feel like family. The bathrooms and showers are extremely clean and well kept (thanks to the owner). You can tell they put their heart and soul into this place. Truly amazing people, such a quiet and nice space to settle down for a bit. I highly suggest this place, we actually decided to extent our stay here because we felt so safe and welcomed. You will not regret staying here, truly I would live here if I could! Love, The Leggetts!

We were only stopping for 1 night, on our way back to oregon. Found this campground online, made a reservation, mostly because of the convenience of easily off the freeway then back on. We were very amazed at how well kept the sites were, cleanliness of the facilities, and the owner who greeted us right away. Super friendly, felt very comfortable overall. Train goes through, but we didn't mind. Freeway traffic not very loud. We enjoyed our stay at Old West RV Park.

We spent one night here on our way east. The park is well cared for and owners were super friendly. The full hookups sites were a little tight but plent long. Down the road at the Waterhole Saloon for drinks and dinner we met our site neighbors on both sides and lots of other friendly folks. After dinner we walked to the Yellowstone River access. Beautiful. We did hear the train come through in the middle of the night, but it didn't really bother us. I can't comment on the showers, restrooms or laundry because we did not use them. Highly recommend a stopover in Reed Point at Old West RV.

This is a smaller but very quaint RV park. It is well manicured and has a lovely Montana touch. The grounds and facilities are very clean and well kept. Jeremy and Ivy are great hosts and do everything possible to make your stay a great one. The town saloon is warm and inviting, and the people are very friendly. We enjoyed our stay so much, we spent an extra day. We left with not only a wonderful memory, but with new friends. We look forward to our next visit. Take advantage of this montana jewel, you won't be disappointed. Linda & Wade.

This review is from an overnight or short stay perspective. While planning our Alaska adventure, we came across some glowing reviews of this campground (CG) and were happy to say it lived up to the hype. Its incredibly easy to find just off I-90. If you're heading west, you’ll take a right off I-90 and be there in seconds. Coming from the east, its a left turn, but keep in mind theres a 13' 9" overpass. That's fine for most rigs, but with our Brinkley G3500 and it's high-profile A/C units, it would've been a tight squeeze. Thankfully, we were coming from the west, so no issue. We had booked Site 4 online, and since this isn't a huge CG, it was easy to spot our long gravel pull-through with full hookups. The utility connections were thoughtfully centered on the pad, making setup a breeze. As we were getting settled, we were greeted by Jerad. He welcomed us warmly and mentioned the $10 one-time pet fee, which we hadn't noticed when we booked (it was a while ago). That fee includes a handy little poop bag holder with a built-in flashlight a fun and useful touch for dog owners. Water pressure was a solid 50 psi. We had 4 bars each on both Verizon and T-Mobile, and the CG Wi-Fi clocked in at 26.5 Mbps down and 11.9 Mbps up, pretty solid for a small CG. The sites are nicely spaced for a private park, with lush grass between pads and newer picnic tables. While there isn't a designated dog area, there's some green space to walk your pup, and the town itself is charming and very walkable. We had a great chat with Jerad and Ivy, the CG's new owners as of November 2024. They were both welcoming and genuinely interested in feedback, something you don't always see. They're already working on bathhouse and laundry upgrades, and it’s clear they’re passionate about making this a top-notch stop for travelers. Yes, you'll hear some highway and occasional train noise, but it didn't bother us. For an overnight stop, this place hit all the marks to include walking distance to the Waterhole Saloon with good drinks & food—you get a 10% discount on food and drinks when you mention you're staying at the campground. And with fishing access just up the road and more local exploring to do, we'd definitely consider a longer stay next time.

This place is clean, quiet and the site was level, which is amazing to us. The owners are fantastic and really care about your comfort.. Very friendly saloon up the road for great food and you can pound a quarter in the wall and sign it. We will make this one part of our yearly adventures.

I can't tell you about the rooms cuz I didn't stay there. It looks pretty interesting and who wouldn't want to stay in an old west RV Park.

Very friendly and helpful owners. Bathrooms were being renovated, but were still clean and the showers had plenty of hot water. Sites were level and had a nice bit of grass for our pups. There was a $10 pet fee, but that included a cute welcome gift for the pups. We would definitely stay here again.

The park is convenient and sites are long, gravel and well laid out. My only concern is that it’s not really worth $54. It seems many campgrounds have decided to jack-up rates this year but are not really adding any features. As full time RVers we are now reviewing all parks based on what they charge. We have stayed at Old West before. We do like it’s location when traveling on I90. But soon it might be out of the price zone. Hopefully not.

Nice for a small rv park but could of done without train noise

The park is clean and level. There is a nice access point to Yellowstone River down the road. We were able to walk to the Saloon and gas station. The park itself is really nice, but there is a bit of highway and train noise. AT&T and Verizon cell service is good.
