So freaking pretty, and there is a river right next to it.

My kiddo enjoyed floating on the river. We were able to get a campsite on a sunny Saturday afternoon, although all campsites were occupied by evening.

I happened to drive through on the last day of the season (3rd week of Sept); didn't actually camp. Looks like a great campground with some incredible sites on the river! It definitely has that rainforest feel. Pit toilet only. Definitely planning to camp here someday! Olympic Otter

Really great campground in what looks to be an old growth forest. Campsites are large, private, and beautiful and many are right next to the river. We camped right on the beach on beautiful soft sand with the sounds of the river nearby. Pit toilets are clean and there is plenty of potable water. First come, first serve very close to Lake Crescent. We came around 10:30AM and there were plenty of spots.

What a gem of a campground! Showed up on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and was able to get a river site. Very little to no Verizon service.

Beautiful campground. Odd placement of fire pits and tables in some spots, but overall a beautiful campground!

This is a great place to camp by the river especially if you’re in the rain, the canopy of trees protects you from the rain

Great National Forest camp ground! Camp Sites available next to the river. Peaceful forest setting. Flush & Vault toilets and potable water. Firewood for sale at the camp host site.

Great campsite in the Olympic National Forest. Rates are $17/day for standard campsite. For the new folk (this was our first time): you find your site, dump gear, them head to the pay station to deposit the fee in an envelope. You'll need exact change for the envelope drop and a pen to fill in the info. Sites are rustic, but there are enough drinking water faucets with excellent pressure and bathrooms (long drops) that your never a long walk from one. Saturdays appear to be extremely busy. Sundays there's more choice. Checkout is at 1400, but most folk seemed to clear out by noon, so for best selection arriving around noon would be optimal.

Definitely a great campground. Great size, if availability allows, you get to pick whatever site you want. There's a lovely river right near the campground. It was just 20 feet away from our site. There are also plenty of hikes nearby! One of the restrooms was out of service when we were there but not the biggest deal. There was another, smaller option. You do have to pay via cash or check, just a heads up. They also have firewood you can purchase, but again, bring cash.
