Stayed in one of the cabins for 3 nights earlier this week. Cabin was cozy, well-furnished, and stocked with basically everything we needed. Bonus points for being dog friendly. The wood stove was very cozy and they supply a bundle of firewood per night. The power went out on our final night and maintenance brought several extra bundles of firewood to make sure we stayed warm and cozy through the storm. Only real negative is the matches they supply in the rooms are awful and bend before they can light, recommend bringing a lighter or better matches to save yourself some frustration! We cooked most meals, but also had dinner at the restaurant one night. We had the elk burger and crab Mac and cheese, which were both excellent. Cocktails were delicious and strong. The location here is unbeatable. Quick access to many popular beaches and the Hoh and Quinalt Rainforests. We saw otters, eagles, deer, and more wildlife on lodge property. It's so sad that the cabins are slowly being lost to the bluff erosion :(

My husband and I celebrated our 28th Wedding Anniversary with a trip to Washington. We really enjoyed our visit to Kalaloch Lodge. The Cons: The beds were not incredibly comfortable. They were springy and noisy and caved in a little bit too much! We were a little disappointed with the quality and price of food at the restaurant. We understood they were struggling with equipment, but we did feel there should have been a bit of a price break for the food that was offered. The breakfast in particular! The bacon and sausage were undercooked, the biscuits were overcooked and the oatmeal was runny. The Pros: The cabins were clean and cozy. They were spacious and well stocked with everything we needed for the night & showers the next morning. They had hiking sticks available by the door, firewood and matches in our cabin and a shoe/boot cleaner by the door to clean your shoes before entering. The property was well spaced, beautiful ocean views and easy access to walk the beach. There was a fun playground where my husband and I played a couple rounds of tetherball! Staff was friendly and helpful. We were surprised that board games were available to borrow for the evening @ the front desk. Overall this was a great stay and we would definitely return.

Our expectation for this lodge exceeded what was delivered. The view from the area is beautiful which makes this location very desirable though truthfully, there is not a lot of other options of places to stay in the area. It seemed pricey, but we have paid similar for lodges elsewhere. We paid for a "Bluff Duplex Cabin One Queen Wood Stove" though it was barely on the bluff (#15 if I am remembering correctly). We did see the ocean though it was mostly obstructed by overgrowth. Inside the cabin it was very nice but be warned the bathroom is made for people on the smaller side. If you are on the large size or have large parts you will be hitting things. And you may want to give up on the shower stall. Please don't take this as a bad review. We did enjoy our stay but just were a bit disappointed.

Kalaloch lodge is an amazing place. Our cabin was right next to the beach! The cabin was clean, cozy, and well maintained. We had everything we need in the cabin, even kitchen ware and coffee maker. Their staffs were all super nice and helpful. The only thing made my review 4* is the onsite restaurant. Food was fresh but tasted not good, none of our 9 dishes were good. With the price they set, I expected much better food there.

A place to stop leaving Olympic national Park. Our stay included in the two bedroom room cabin looking at the Pacific Ocean. It was really neat to hear the waves all night long. The star gazing was unmatched. The cabins are slightly rustic and you should set your expectations as such. The heater did kick on and off a lot, waking us up a fair bit.The restaurant was acceptable and easy to feed the family for the evening. It was nice to have the kitchenette with a mini refrigerator and microwave in the cabin.

Cabin main area excellent, bathroom was bad. Views from bluff cabins are incredible, breakfast table in cabin, mini-kitchen, REAL wood burning stove (for heat and/or fireplace like feed), comfy beds. Now the bad: the bathroom was DARK, one dim light barely illuminates the shower, and does not provide light near the bathroom sink. Shower water flow was very slow, took 5x as long to shower. Good toiletries in bathroom though. Price was a bit high, especially for having this dungeon like bathroom but other than that the cabin was nice. 4/5 stars because my bathroom time is very minimal, spent more time admiring the view out the sliding glass window.

Like this place. However, if you cannot be cut from the digital world, this might not be good for you. I asked the waitress if they had WiFi, she simply said, "No. The only connection you will have is the nature and people you are with. " Even the T-Mobile signal is weak and out most of the time. It's very good to forget about the work during the vacation. Stayed in a cabin with a full kitchen. Very large living room. Nice beach to walk on with a beautiful sunset. On site restaurant is the only choice you have unless if you want to drive a long distance. I would suggest the on site restaurant which has very good food with reasonable prices. Front desk is also very helpful and very pleasant to chat with for all the questions we have. I would strongly recommend this place.

We did not stay overnight, but we learned that a room in the lodge is affordable. Maybe next time. We've stopped here twice over the years on our way to Ruby Beach and to the world's largest cedar tree. Kalaloch beach is just gorgeous. This time we bought lunch in the convenience store and shared it on a picnic table. We were on our way to Ruby Beach and didn't want to take the time for a restaurant meal. They have a good variety and good coffee. We microwaved a couple of burgers.

After being away for 23 years my recent stay at Kalaloch Lodge still delivered an amazing experience for my brother and me. The cabin we rented was comfortable and cozy. The wood burning stove made the place all that more rustic while the furnishing made it civilized. The service from everyone was friendly and enjoyable. Great crew here. The location you can’t beat with being perched above the ocean beach on the bluff. The ocean access is the best. I shall return.

Visiting the Kalaloch Lodge has always been an aspiration. When I was younger my family and I stayed at the camp grounds and always walked the beach and the cabins and the lodge always looked to be the coolest thing. Well, we finally stayed there and it lived up to our expectations. The cabins are wonderful, quaint and well stocked with great shampoo. We had a party of 6 and stayed in a two room cabin. My spouse and I slept on the pull out couch, while kids and grandparents got the beds. Everyone slept well. Waking up every morning to coffee and the Pacific Ocean was well worth it. The cabins are well stocked for cooking, and though its only a small sink, the view while you wash makes it go fast. Our cabin had a small stove and oven, refrigerator, microwave and COFFEE MAKER. The shower is a single, but the water was plenty warm. Extra towels and coffee filters are available at the front desk. The beach and camp ground are readily accessible with access to the beach via stairs, and a quick walk across the bridge gets you to the campground. There is "weak" cellular service for both Verizon and T-Mobile, enough to check email, but don't think you'll be streaming. Its a great place to unplug, see the ocean, play board games and just relax.
