Jax (owner), Danielle and Joe were some of the most down to earth and ârealâ people that I have ever met in my life. I communicated with Jax for some time prior to me coming up and all made me feel welcome and helped me get set up. I truly appreciate all that they did and would DEFINITELY stay in the same place again. I believe that most sites have both electric and water hookups. Location was very awesome⌠right off of US2 close to Plainfield.

Filled with rundown, poorly maintained âfull seasonâ RVâs, and residents who are drunk and disruptive. Bath house is a joke, open slat doors and half doors on the two toilet stalls. The COED shack with some water running is a joke. On the positive side, the location is incredible, hiking and walking trails are amazing. Our dogs had the time of their lives (minus the full time residents cats running in and out of the slips).

Great place to relax and enjoy family time. Every time Iâve been, everyone staying there seems nice, especially the seasonal guests! Itâs got great scenery including the orchard, and the river, and itâs dog friendly! My dog really enjoys having the space to run around! The service is spotty which is wonderful for disconnecting from the outside world. Would recommend!!

Although we unfortunately had to change our travel plans and didnât get the chance to stay at this campground, I still wanted to leave a review because of how wonderful the owner, Jax, has been. From the start, they were incredibly kind, responsive, and genuinely understanding - going above and beyond to assist us with our reservation and questions. Itâs rare to come across such thoughtful hospitality, even before arriving on site. If our travels bring us back to the area in the future, this will absolutely be our first choice for a stay. Highly recommend based on the outstanding service alone!

Been here most of the season and would love to return next season! Now recently under new management which has been a whole new turnaround for the better! Anything brought to attention is being taken care of now! Scenery is now beautiful again with the new grounds crew cleaning it all up!

Fantastic family run place. Staff friendly and helpful. We camped in the "tent city" section next to a fish laden babbling river. Bathrooms clean and water hot. Many bonuses, free apples for the picking(seasonal), trails right off the property. Camp firewood was delivered right to us, and it was GOOD seasoned hardwood, no pine sneakiness hehe.

This place has a sweet little river running by, helpful and friendly folks, and good hiking up the ridge. I went there for two nights this fall, and that first night with a campfire and guitar was one of the highlights of my time in Vermont. Itâs a short drive from Montpelier, local owner, highly recommend.

The campground is a good no frills place to go. My issue is that they take online reservations but never answer the phone or return calls. I placed the reservation and tried calling multiple times to confirm but no response. I was actually worried about going up there as I didn't know if they were still in business. They were, but it was unsettling. We tried buying wood a few times but they 'forgot' about it every time. They don't sell it by the bundle, but rather they deliver it to you on a gator dump bed. That's fine, but again not if they keep forgetting it. I'm not sure I would stay here again without bringing my own wood. After check in they leave you alone, which is surprisingly uncommon and very welcome.
