One of the worse park crews I’ve ever experienced. At 8am they started dragging trees out of the campsite directly behind ours and had a crew of chainsaw guys tearing into them. This was the actual park crew, not a hired company. They absolutely knew better and didn’t care. We were literally the only ones camping and to be woken up like that is absolutely inappropriate for a park crew. Furthermore, all of the websites that you have to use to reserve the sites have contact info for the campground but it just goes to a busy line. Once you leave the park there’s an actual park sign that has a different number on it. But the lady who answers that sounded like she could’ve cared less that her park service did that. She tried to deny they even were out there at first, then I mentioned I had photos. Got a refund after all of that but had to go through a lot of misery. And honestly I don’t want a refund. I want a pleasant peaceful experience at a campground and for the people who work it to know better than to drive up next to a tent at 8am and fire up the chainsaws. Please be aware they are not pleasant folks here and don’t care about your experience. There are far better places to go right around the corner from here. Shame we just wanted to try a new place.

Lots of campsites to choose from including some with power and water and others with out. Mostly only power sites with an occasional public water hookup. Lots of tree coverage for shade and most sites pretty close or next to the lake. Decent single shower and bathroom facility.

I like the park. It stinks that the Federal Government has a hiring freeze! Because of this they can't hire the extra summer time help to keep the park open! Call your representatives and demand that they review their hiring freeze! More parks than Spencer have been effected because of their decision to have a hiring freeze.

First time camping there. Loved it. Just no cell service anywhere. (Nice to disconnect but unable to communicate with family about an emergency)

The best experience starts at the gate and the hosts at this camp were so far past awesome, they should open a school and teach others how to do the job. Knowledgeable, friendly and kind. Everything else was awesome too, from the site to the bathroom and the neighbor campers. If you are in the area or not, put this place on your to visit list!

We camped in our tent at site 9 and loved it. The water was just down a steep incline from our campsite and we were able to tie our jet skis up there during our stay. The restrooms and showers were clean. It was a very relaxing and peaceful trip.

We camp here 1 a year at the end of the season and it's nice and quiet. That's the way camping should be.

Great RV park! Very quiet and a beautiful view of the lake - spot 17 is the most secluded but still only a 30 second walk to the restrooms which are clean and with decent showers. We had a great view of the lake here and direct access to the lake/beach. Beware it’s windy!
