A nice campground. We're full time rv travelers. Up here in September. Park wasn't that busy. Park was actually really quiet. The owners and host were really nice. We would for sure come back to this park if in the area. We didn't even mind the train that would pass by. We had full hookup. So we didn't check out the bath house. We had a firepit and picnic table. Was so much to do in the area.

We had a great stay this past week. Staff very friendly and attentive to any needs. Super accommodating for payment as we were not able to get there until late. Very quiet (there is a train but it’s quick). Lots to do in the surrounding area. We had a great site and hosted the nighttime campfires with lots of room! Will definitely come back here!

Great family campground & very close to great Lake Huron beaches in Oscoda and Tawas. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Sites were a good size for our 35 foot Rav and very clean. My son caught a 9 lb catfish off the Au Sable Pier - good fishing in the early morning and evenings. Only drawbacks are the train that goes by the campground is so dang loud - especially in the middle of the night! Pool is kinda small too but didn't matter to the kids especially with the big lake close by.

Great service with employees that really are genuine and care. The location is less desirable as it is located next to the train tracks that has a 930-1130PM schedule with 2 train whistles. Mosquitoes were pretty bad but I sprayed and it was better. Grounds could use some love and sites were pretty tight up front. The back sites were spacious but more bugs. Not an ADA friendly campground.

This camp ground owner was very rude to us. We showed up on time. First made a reservation and called to increase it by a day. When I called I asked if we could have rustic. The person stated we could but no refund would be given for the difference. I stated that’s fine I had asked for that originally so we could be secluded but was told none were available. I agreed to pay for other more expensive site but get the rustic so I could be more private. When I got there I found the electric and the water site was 100 feet apart from one another. We were placed between a large family that had tent and rv camping and our little site was in the middle of it all as rustic. They had many kids and they walked through our site a lot. We asked for a refund, since we had asked for rustic private and no one explained that this is not the campsite for that. They could have been honest with us. They refused our refund with no regard. We left and went to a state park. Now, if you have children perfect campground. But if you do not have children then this is not the campsite for you!

Management told us that when we checked in that the bathrooms and showers would be open at the far end of the campground near site 112, where we were camped. They were not open like they told us. That was September 9- 13,2024. We were told when checking out that it was because it was the end of the season by management. That was not what we were told checking in. They just didn't want to clean them. We were told by a mid aged brunette lady that you have facilities in your trailer and to use them. Our friends that we came with, he it a tall man that does not fit well in his shower and uses the bathrooms. It is quite a distance to the other end of the campground to get to those facilities. They could have left them open but chose not to because they didn't want to clean them. While setting up or tearing down getting ready to leave, you can't use the ones in your trailer. She didn't care and just said that is the way it is. We will never be back there again or the friends we came with.

We had a GREAT Labor Day stay at this campground! Busiest weekend of the year, with a pretty full campground & everything ran smoothly, never felt packed in. The owner was AMAZING! He noticed that my little man had sensitivity to sound, yet really wanted to ride on the firetruck, so he offered to let us ride in the cab where it's quieter. It was such a thrill for my little man, & a kindness that I'll never forget! There were so many great activities for the kids, on top of the large playground, pool, jumping pillow (kids LOVED THIS!), & jump shot. The bark park for the furry kid was nice, too :) Everyone we met was friendly, staff was helpful & knowledgeable, bathrooms were always clean. We WILL be back!

Staff was super friendly and I appreciated that we got an escort to lead us to our cabin. Lots of activities for the kids to do and the camp store is very clean with a wide selection. My daughter loved the pool and the jumping pillow!! Only negative I can think of is that a lot of the games in the rec center were out of order. Would stay again, no questions asked.

The campground is well maintained and the staff are very friendly and helpful! The pool was small, but very clean. They have an arcade (some games were shut down for repair during our visit), jumping pillow, jump shot, corn hole, ladder golf, etc. just a few minutes from beach and grocery store. They have an on site camp store that was well stocked. My kids had a fabulous time, which means mom and dad did too!

We have only positive things to say about this campground and the family that owns it. They really put themselves out there to make this a great place for everyone to enjoy. All the employees are helpful and kind. It's definitely one of our favorite places that we look forward to every summer and fall.

Fun camp for the family. The mining experience doesn't take long, but our son loved it. Very nice dog park area with some agility equipment. Our only complaint was the wood we purchased for a camp fire didn't burn well due to being too wet.

A departure from the standard KOA. Well ran, well kept!
