My husband and I stayed over the labour day long weekend. The site was great, easy hookups, full service worked perfectly. Some pros: The splash pad and pools are clean, we loved the adult only pool option. The chip truck- when it's open- is a great option if you don't feel like cooking. The weekend entertainment was great, live bands and fireworks were awesome. The beach is beautiful and has a drive-up area right to the shore line. Some cons; The washrooms by the pool and front office are not clean and only one womens toilet, so if more than one person needs to go be prepared for a line-up. Also the shower by the front office doesn't drain well with stagnant water on the floor. But the worst part of our stay was the quiet time rule from 11pm-8am is not enforced. I get it's a long weekend, daytime music that started on Saturday was fine but the thumping bass and blaring music that went on until 3:30am Sunday morning from the adjacent seasonal cottages was absoluetly ridiculous. Overall I would go again but would not book in site area A or D to avoid the seasonal partiers.

We loved the park. The pools and waterslide were nice and lots of fun! The location was great, close to the beach. The beach was amazing, great for kids, very shallow for a long ways out, and calm and clear. Nice soft fluffy sand without rocks. The better beaches are further to the north. Our site was great, nice size, close to the pools. Just a little uneven where the parking spot is with newly layed gravel. And the location of the hook-ups was right at the back (normally they are at the side). Our water hose and electrical cord BARELY reached. They were stretched out to the max, and barely even touching the ground. If you're heading there, you may want to make sure you have more than 25' of hose and cord, just in case. The only real negative I can mention was that it stunk like cow shit the whole time (6 days we stayed). Some times worse than others, probably depending on which way the wind was blowing. Must be a farm nearby. Not sure if this was an isolated time of year, or if it's always like that. Just something to take into consideration. Other than that, we had a great time there. Would probably go back and try our luck again and hopefully it doesn't stink next time. 🤞

We had a wonderful trip to Our Ponderosa and really enjoyed our stay in the cozy little cabins. Having our own nook was great, but unfortunately, it was right next to the main road. We were told it was a quiet road, but it turned out to be quite busy and noisy. A sound barrier would make a huge difference, as the sites themselves were otherwise perfect. Or even having more cabins with similar setups in quieter areas of the park would be amazing. We also appreciated the on-site chip truck, but it’s only open Wednesday–Sunday, and since we visited Sunday–Wednesday, there weren’t any food options available. A small store with snacks or essentials would be a great addition for guests. The pool slide was a highlight for our little one, and the posted hours were very clear, but it was unexpectedly closed one day with no explanation, which was disappointing. Overall, we had a great time and hope to return! If the road noise can be addressed and a few small amenities added, this place could easily go from great to amazing.

I had a unique and memorable experience staying in an RV with my uncle’s family. The setting was peaceful and relaxing — perfect for unwinding and spending quality time together. We enjoyed delicious barbecue meals, shared stories around the campfire, and simply soaked in the beauty of nature. The beach itself was clean and calm, great for walks, playing, or just sitting back and enjoying the view. Whether you’re into camping, beach vibes, or bonding with family, Ipperwash Beach offers a warm and laid-back atmosphere. Definitely a weekend to remember!

Spent the weekend there recently. Camp sites were well maintained, bathroom and showers were clean each time we used them. The pool slide was out of service, but that didn't stop the kids from having fun. The staff were friendly and helpful. They also have a mini putt. The beach is not far from the campground. I would go back again or recommend this location to others.

We looked at a few location before purchasing our trailer. We didn’t feel pressure at Our Ponderosa and the management team was superb during the process. We finished our first full season and have a count down to opening day. My children enjoy playing outside all day with friends they have made at the park. The people at the park are the greatest and we enjoy all the event that’s planned. The golf course was a big reason picking this as our second home. It’s well kept and perfect to teach my kids the game.

It is a great park to stay at. Lots to Do and if you have kids they will never be bored. If you are going without children..you can still have a quiet time or whatever you are thinking of. Definitely will return and will stay longer.

When my wife and I decided to buy a trailer here I wasn't sure what to expect and if I would enjoy it. I was very wrong. Everyone here is not only welcoming, helpful and charitable but they are also fun to hang out with. If you have any doubts about getting a trailer here, forget them. It is very safe, kid-friendly and full of staff who are always pleasant to interact with and always willing to give you the time of day. I cannot stress enough how much I enjoy this park. Look forward to each weekend I get to spend here!

The site itself was for our trailer. It was clean and maintained and had lots of space. The park was not as advertised unfortunately. The pools were not heated, the water slide was not operational, the splash pad has since been closed permanently, the park store was not open and you could not purchase fire wood (even though the welcome package said to purchase fire wood from them). We tried to use the mini golf when no one was using it and there were only 4 balls available, we also tried to use the driving range which no one was using and they had no balls available. The reason for the balls was “not sure where they all went” and “havnt collected the range balls”. The only plus was close access to the beach and the site was nice.

We have been her for 5 years now, made some great friends and most in the park are super friendly. The park used to offer everything listed on its website. Unfortunately, even as restrictions lift this July, 2021, most amenities are not being offered. The following is NOT being offered: water slide, hot tubs, splash pad, kids activities, concerts, dances, cards, no indoor gathering place for social events or emergencies. NO store on site now. The golf course is open and in great shape. Horse shoes just started up again, Charlie the Train does run and the pools are open( but even that is life guard dependent and limit in capacity and you have to sign up). The park needs to get back to it former glorious self, especially since the fees are some of the highest around.
