This is probably one of my favorite BLM sites I have ever stayed at. Easy access, quiet with only a few spots, and with the gorgeous overlook of the lake surrounded by beautiful hill/rock formation. There’s a pit toilet which is pretty clean. Every site is not too close to each other, well maintained and clean. We have our own picnic table, fire pit and emptied trash can. Even though we need to pay $9 for BLM, we are more than happy to do so!

Beautiful views from the top, the lake looks beautiful. Spacious and close to the restroom. Definitely recommend.

Quiet, spacing between sites good, easy pull in sights, with ticket and drop box. Pit toilets smelly as usual but stocked with TP. Only 4 star cuz cactus was everywhere leave very minimal space for tent, at the spot we got #8. So must bring only small tent or campers work better at this spot. But beautiful view!

First roadtrip in the van, our goal was to find as many free or inexpensive places as possible. At $9 a night, Overlook Campground was perfect. So beautiful AND we had service so we could work. Wonderful find.

It has some nice views of the lake and skyline. It is a no frills quiet stop.

Primitive site but excellent view. Would camp here anytime. Tight turns the last mile but made it with our 43 ft. Toy hauler.

This place is magical. Beautiful views and trails and a sweet creek above the lake, if you want to do some rugged walking. The toilets are clean and the trails are absolutely gorgeous. Ide remind campers to pack out what you pack in. We dont mind picking up litter but were surprised at the lack of consciousness of campers and locals who think its ok to just drop their garbage.
