Great place for a stop over on a road trip. Close to the highway. A bit of road noise but not noticeable after a long days trip.

Would not recommend! When we first arrived the long term camper beside us had began to feed and house feral cats that where all over our camp site…the mom cat had kittens and tried to attack us and our dog several times. The kittens pooped all over our area and were crawling in and on our vehicles. We had to pop the hood of our trucks and pull the cats out a couple times while they tried to attack us. They did finally remove the cats after we had to complain for several weeks and ended up having to move sites to get away from them. I had to call the sheriffs department to finally get the issue resolved. The sheriff even informed me I was brave to call because this camp ground has kicked people out for getting the sheriffs involved in the past…what else are you supposed to do when they won’t fix the problem? The cats could have potentially cause serious damage to our vehicle when they got stuck under the hoods not to mention the cats could have been killed. Things finally went pretty alright for awhile; however, the whole camp ground is fairly noisy because it’s right off the interstate be ready for loud nights and the firework place across the way sets off fireworks pretty regularly late at night. We stayed here because my husband travels for work and we stayed for a couple months. I notified the office asap when he got laid off and was unable to pick up another job in the area after a huge unexpected layoff that he had no control over and that we would have to leave….this was literally a couple days after I had paid for a full month as they will charge you a late fee each day it is late. They refused to refund us any money at all after paying $700 and only staying a couple days into the month. There was one month as well that a bad snow storm came in and they closed the office…I tried to call and go up and pay our rent; however, they where closed for two days and I was unable to get ahold of anyone to pay…when I went into pay finally after they opened they charged me a late fee because they said I could have paid online…..nobody was able to inform me how to pay online and I had no idea I could pay online there is no information how to pay online on their website….they refunded me one late fee charge but would not wave the entire fee because I should have paid online….that would have been fine if they notified their customers they can pay online and how too. Not to mention the entire camp ground turns into a mud pit in the winter when it snows and rains nothing is maintained here. Communication is not very good here, we had several issues during our time here. We will not be back. We have stayed long term at several camp grounds over the last two years traveling for my husbands work and never had any issues like we have had here.

What a nice park. We stopped for 2 nights after driving through winter conditions in Kansas City. We'll maintained park. Did have an issue with water freezing as their heat tape stopped working but to their credit it was fixed immediately on a Sunday. Thanks for the great service. Store is nice. Would stay again

We loved Owl Creek. The Campground looked as though they had a lot of long term campers but it got us off the highway and crazy winds that were plaguing the area. Conveniently located right off of I70, but that also means you hear the highway all day and all night. We patronized the owl creek cheese shop. Lots of cheeses, wines and various other wine and cheese related stuff. Campsights were smaller (narrow), not much personal space but water and electric were nice. Great little place to jump off and jump on and get on your way. No pictures as it was just a quick respite.

We stopped just for one night but would have stayed longer. The sites are large and level (ours was paved) both paved and gravel. The store is large with a variety of items. The bath house is nice, with lots of hot water. There are two shower rooms and two rest rooms, all are spacious. Activities include corn hole, horseshoes and play area. The salt pool is comfortable and just what you need for relaxation and exercise. The pool table is the laundry room where four sets of washers and dryers are located. Even though it is close to I-70, there was minimal noise and not at all disruptive. We'd stay here again and highly recommend Owl Creek to others.

HATED this place!!! The spots were too close together; VERY LITTLE grass between RVs; we didn’t have any trees where we were; their septic system was an open pond at the bottom of the hill and when it was warm it smelt horrible!!!! Try sleeping at night being so close to the highway that you can constantly hear the rigs gurgling their motors as they went by. The “dog run” was smaller than a trailer. The water was not drinkable, the laundry room had “lost clothes” piled high and the machines smelt so bad that it literally ruined one of our blankets. The ONE good thing about the park was the clean and bright market, but the Ice cream was older than my grandmother and was freezer burnt. We paid for a month and only stayed the weekend because it was so bad, of course the park owners wouldn’t give us refund. 5 minutes around the corner is much more quiet place and is closer to town business district where you can actually get pizza delivered to you. Needless to say, I’ll NEVER stay there again

My experience of this park is this... We lived there since Thanksgiving day up until March 2nd. The manager at this park told us they had our lot rented out then stated that our reservation was up but we had been renting monthly with no plans to move yet. So if u have a "Reservation" here & it's up they make u move out. As for the bath house many times I went in there & it had hair all over the shower stalls, the sinks & they rarely ever swept/mopped so u would get stuff all over ur clean feet when getting out of shower & that was even after the cleaning lady was in there to clean. Manager is a young female with a chip on her shoulder & an attitude. She really isn't a people person & had no business running a place like this.

Such a pleasant stop. The market is full of various cheeses, jarred vegetables, seasonings, jams, and sweets. They even have ice cream. Very nice campground with full hookups. Easy to navigate through. After a long day of driving, not having to worry about tight turns and obstructions is very welcoming. The sites are darn near perfectly level with the hookups being nicely located.

We had a nice welcome and escorted to our site. It was large and pretty level. Our location was 45-51. Away from the traffic noise. A picnic table with fire pit is on your lot. I did not use the bath house or laundry facilities so unable to rate. The pool is new and resort style. It was not heated but for us it was refreshing with hot weather. The pool water was crystal clear and has a salt water system which is really a plus. What was Disappointing was having such a beautiful pool that is directly next to the highway. Loud truck and traffic noise put a damper on things. There’s a country store with delicious home made products and the ice cream is incredible! We enjoyed our stay but the pool should’ve been located away from the highway in a nice serene place.
