Ozark Scenic Riverway/Two Rivers
Overview
Two Rivers Campground serves as a tranquil base for exploring the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Managed by the National Park Service, this destination is defined by its location at the junction of the Current River and Jacks Fork River. Travelers visiting this area can expect a peaceful, rustic atmosphere that prioritizes the preservation of the natural landscape over modern commercial developments. It is an ideal spot for those who want to immerse themselves in the deep valleys and clear waters of the Missouri Ozarks.
Location & Surroundings
Located just a short drive from Eminence, Missouri, the park is surrounded by rugged hills and crystalline spring-fed streams. The environment is dense with hardwoods and pine, creating a shaded canopy for many of the camping areas. The geographic highlight is the confluence itself, where two of the nation's most celebrated paddling rivers merge. The surrounding terrain offers a sense of isolation and wilderness that is becoming increasingly rare for modern travelers.
Amenities & Park Features
As a federal facility, the amenities here are basic but functional for the self-reliant RVer. There are no individual water, sewer, or electric hookups, making it a prime location for dry camping. Key park features include:
- Access to potable water stations
- Seasonal flush toilets and showers
- Direct river access for boat launching
Each site typically includes a picnic table and a fire ring, allowing visitors to enjoy traditional campfire experiences under dark, Missouri skies.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
The primary draw for visitors is the incredible river access for floating and paddling. Many visitors launch canoes or kayaks directly from the area to explore the scenic bluffs. Popular activities include:
- Exploring Alley Spring and its historic mill
- Hiking near the Rocky Falls shut-ins
- Spotting the wild horse herds of Shannon County
The region is renowned for its water clarity, making it a favorite for snorkeling and fishing in the Ozark currents.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is best suited for adventurous RVers who travel in smaller rigs or those who are fully equipped for off-grid stays. Because of the lack of hookups, it appeals to those who value scenic beauty and river access over resort-style amenities like Wi-Fi or swimming pools. It is a haven for anglers, birdwatchers, and families who want to disconnect from technology and spend their days on the water.

Quite Campground. Spot are slightly sloped. Grill n table at each site. Bathroom was helpful but old. Signed up for current but was taken to Jacks Fork. Didn't appreciate that since it's for more advanced kayaking.

We have had them shuttle us and our kayaks twice and both times they have done great! They are super friendly and helpful! I highly recommend them!

Jo was very accommodating and helpful. Her knowledge of the area made it easy to plan our float trip. The camping area was clean. We will definitely be coming back again.

Would love to have stayed at this campground as it seemed like a very well maintained and clean campground but you have to book a site online ONLY. We did a 4 night canoe trip and had to stay at a freaking hotel the last night because you can only reserve a site online which is a hassle when you don't have service because you are in the MOUNTAINS. A very sickening and annoying trend I hope the NPS reverses. I go into nature to get away from my phone and technology but the NPS makes it impossible with policies like this. A simple cash pay station would have allowed us to camp one more night on this beautiful river instead we had to stay in a motel and watch Netflix. A sour end to an otherwise great float trip.
