Lovely state forest, great trails, pretty well maintained. Plenty of wildlife as well and very specific learning areas to visit for younger kids. Different length trails and great rest areas throughout

Easy to find, plenty of trails from easy to hard, and I only just started riding here and love it already, I definitely recommend checking it out from riding to mountain biking to hiking!

This is the largest state forest in Connecticut. It is my favorite place to go hiking in Eastern Connecticut. You will feel completely removed from civilization here, and I have spent all day here without seeing another person. It's a great way to exercise and relieve stress. There are at least 70 miles of trails in this forest.

Perfect forest when you want to feel in another planet. Clean restrooms, trash cans, already paved roads and trails, much flora and fauna to explore, similar to an enchanted natural habitat.
