Pagosa Pines RV Park
Overview
Pagosa Pines RV Park offers a peaceful retreat tucked away in a lush forest of Ponderosa pines within the beautiful San Juan Mountains. Unlike high-traffic resorts, this park focuses on providing a quiet, natural environment where travelers can unwind under a canopy of old-growth trees. It serves as an ideal base camp for exploring the rugged beauty of Southwest Colorado while offering essential modern conveniences for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
Location & Surroundings
The park is situated just west of downtown Pagosa Springs along Highway 160, providing easy access to the town's famous geothermal hot springs. The surrounding landscape is characterized by rolling hills and deep evergreen forests, offering a sense of seclusion without being too far from local dining and supplies. Its high elevation provides cooler mountain temperatures during the summer months, making it a popular escape for those looking to beat the heat found in lower elevations.
Amenities & Park Features
Facilities at the park are designed to accommodate a variety of travelers, including those with large big-rig RVs who require more space for maneuvering. The park offers several specific features to enhance the camping experience:
- Full hookups with 30 and 50-amp service available at most sites.
- On-site laundry facilities and private, well-maintained shower rooms.
- A dedicated fenced dog park area for travelers with pets.
- Access to cable television and wireless internet to keep guests connected.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Outdoor enthusiasts will find no shortage of activities just minutes from their campsite. The San Juan River flows nearby, offering excellent opportunities for fly fishing, white-water tubing, and scenic walks along the paved Riverwalk. A short drive east leads to Wolf Creek Pass, where hikers can access high-altitude trails during the summer. Visitors also frequently spend time soaking in the world's deepest geothermal hot springs located in the heart of town for ultimate relaxation.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is a perfect match for travelers who value a tranquil, wooded atmosphere over high-energy resort activities. It is particularly well-suited for retirees and couples looking for a quiet home base, as well as families who want to experience an authentic Colorado mountain vibe. Because of the spacious site layouts and pull-through options, it is also a top choice for owners of larger motorhomes who need easy navigation and ample room to set up camp.

Small campground with small to medium size sites with full service hookups. Nice tree coverage throughout. While the owners are on site, they are only available via text, phone and we did not feel that it was a very friendly environment. This could just be our experience. Wi-Fi was really pretty poor even though there were seven different Wi-Fi receivers you could connect to.

This place was amazing. Cute and right in the middle of town. They were so kind when I had to call for booking and took care of everything. The spots are tucked between trees and have walking paths. Great laundry facilities. They had live music on Saturday night when we got there and the campground hosts were so friendly. Will definitely come back to this RV park!

We rate Pagosa Pines a 5 star!!! The owners and host couple were fantastic from the moment we arrived until we departed. It is clear they love what they do and have so much pride in their Park. Close enough to downtown and uptown but far enough away to be peaceful. Just what we had hoped for! We will return. :-)

The Pagosa Pines RV Park in Pagosa Springs, CO. is beautiful with large pine trees, gorgeous flowers, incredible hummingbirds, excellent walking trails, a large grass park with a stage for live music....and best of all...Jennifer & Randy, the owners, are so wonderfully hospitable. We will definitely rebook.

This is a lovely RV park with a few cabins/tiny homes. Our hosts Jennifer and Randy were helpful and welcoming. It is very conveniently located west of the tourist area of Pagosa Springs just off Hwy. 160. And even though it is just off the highway, we did not notice highway noise; the entrance goes down a hill where most of the sites are located which blocks most of the sound. In addition, Jennifer and Randy provide live music on the week-ends and on Friday night, we thoroughly enjoyed an excellent band. They have hummingbird feeders set up on the porch on the office which attracts hordes of hummers - so fun and beautiful to watch. Like most RV parks in Colorado, the sites are small and close together but it is by far the best we've found in Pagosa Springs. We so enjoyed our stay and will certainly visit again.
