It's worth a visit to take the opportunity to discover the interior floors, including the very top floor. Excellent views. It cist $5 per adult to access the upper floors from the little gift shop. The lighthouse is owned and maintained privately based on support and donations and is an important part of the historical and cultural heritage of PEI, especially as it's the second oldest lighthouse on the island.

Experience PEI's most ancient wooden lighthouse! For just $5, ascend to enjoy breathtaking vistas of the island, beach, provincial park, and ocean. Discover interesting information within. The interior design is uncomplicated, featuring wooden ladder-style stairs that lead up to the lantern room. 2 adults and a 3yr old that was able to climb up and down with help!

We had a wonderful time visiting the Panmure Island lighthouse. Beautiful location overlooking the beach. Lots of information inside describing the history.

This was a highlight for our trip to Eastern PEI. I've seen a few lighthouses, but this was the first one I've actually been inside. For $5 you can go all the way to the top! Cute gift shop at the bottom with a friendly and helpful attendant. Nice that it was open early in the tourist season (before July). Nearby beach is beautiful as well.

Very nice gift shop with most of the items for sale being made by local artists. We purchased a couple of items that will make a great memoribilia. The staff were so nice and friendly. It was a nice visit. There are plenty of places to park, with a short walk from the parking lot to the lighthouse.
