We have been coming here for about 20 years with family and friends and we always had a good time until recently. Campground is under new owenship and to say the least, management is awful. Its obvious to me that they promote people that are completely incapable of doing their job correctly. Susan went from girl scout to Papoose manger and the power went straight to her head. Save yourself the headache and look for a more modern and up to date campground that actually cares about customers. Will no longer be returning customers.

We spent 6 days here at the beginning of August in a water only site HB53. 93 to 97 degree days the whole time just hot hot hot. Prior to our visit we toured with 360 and chose the best sight that was available. The sites were accurately depicted although the size was maybe slight smaller than expect however we easily fit a 13x9 and 9x10 cabin tents with the car fully parked in the driveway and still could have set up another tent and full kitchen if needed. These sites are mostly flat and tent ready but may need some light acorn stone clearing. Fire pit was large and equipped with a grill. Picnic table was large and sturdy. Plenty of space between sites across the road from the main establishment. Beach side sites are mostly side by side with no tree or bush cover but convenient to the beach and still plenty shaded. Con: the noise levels on the main side do go on till nearly quiet time. Pro: it's because they have awesome activities every night and not just campers but staff get excited and enjoy it fully. If you prefer quiet stay on the opposite side of the road. We didnt stay at the kitchenette or other sites but noted they are large and extremely tidy and well kept looking from outside. We noted staff raking and cleaning these sites daily as well as after checkout. Pro: you will see staff and security frequently and available. Security does cart drive through every so often which is nice when youre the only camper on the water only sites it makes you feel safe. Pro: this place is designed with kids in mind there are kids activities for every kind of kid and the camp staff really get into it. Even on 96 degree days playing baseball or whatever game was going cheering loudly for whoever got a hit camp staff was there to make sure the kids and adults experienced fun at their level. Cons: none there was a 55 and up limbo contest and let me tell you that lady could LIMBO. The staff clearly was well in tune with as many people as they could take time for. Try a boat rental or pick up some local lobster and rent a pot to cook it in. They have everything here. Slight cons in the amount of people. Pro maybe 1 out of every 200 people wasn't the friendliest. Everyone was happy to share space and swap stories while their kids played. We even held a late night glow party and 20 some odd teenagers showed up for my 7 year old and played party games with her and were so respectful and kind. You can potentially buy anything you need at the store or café but it is about a 2 to 3.dollars markup from current prices. Convenience matters when the nearest store is 20 minute away though so also a Pro. Pro there are lakes and ponds and rivers all within a 20inute drive for more swimming or fishing fun. Bring a fly rod! Genuinely give this spot a try with the family it is a good all around fit for all ages.

We have been coming to Papoose Pond Campground for 4 years now and we love it. Very nice campsites and friendly staff. The daily activities are fun for all ages, and we really enjoy the carousel and ice cream sundae social. Great campground!

There's a reason campers who come here year after year reserve their spot for next year before they leave this year. Attentive ownership, exciting activities for the whole family (especially the beach parties!), and always improving. This is why I've been coming here since 2007. Love it!
