We have stayed here a few times over the last few years and it has gone down hill fast, to many full time people and animals just wondering. This saddens me as we have had some really good times staying here. I rented a cabin for my elderly parents and it was dirty and stank as no one had taken the trash out, the curtains did not cover the windows, and the ceiling was falling down in the bathroom. We called the number at the check in station 8 times over 2 days and no one answered even when we just wanted to check in Friday at 7:00pm. We also had an RV spot and a boat with us and we camped on the lower campground closer to the dock. I parked my boat trailer at the top of the hill as I am supposed to here. The tongue was pushed, or struck, and shoved over about 8 feet through the gravel. This damaged the wheel on my jack to the point it wont roll in my drive way any more. The full timer in the space next to us kept parking his car in our space and would get indignant if we asked him to move.

We stayed in the tent area, that area is well maintained. But the club house, that has the only accessible bathroom for that area, was closed down. People were still using it though. It is unreasonable to close down a bathroom when the only other option for this campground is across the highway. Once upon a time I'm sure this resort was really cool. But the pools have been drained and not maintained for a long time. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more to stay here if it meant they were able to get the clubhouse up and running again.

The place is a dump, long term residence took all the top spots with sewer, almost impossible to back your trailer into a spot because of all the planters and cars. You book for a waterfront spot but then they are all taken bc of the first come first serve rule. Workers are nice, dock is nerve wrecking, pool has never worked. The boil pot for the crabs is the best part of this place. You pay for the price, if you have good company then its not so bad. All said and done, i will be giving the place another shot.

The park's maintenance has been let go. The road is in sad shape getting from check in hut to rv spaces. The pool and hot tubs were not working. RV Spaces are very narrow. The views are beautiful. If you have a boat, having a boat launch and marina area and dock to keep your boat is a great feature. The dock needs some maintenance some areas better than others.

Beautiful picturesque views. Most staff were friendly. The gentleman with the reservations was stellar. While there, one seemed to be lacking social skills but was helpful. The other was friendly but not very knowledgeable. I have been coming here for over 30 years, so seeing the place turning to rubbish is hard. Definitely some safety concerns like the stairs. They are working on the roads, so hopefully, that gets better. No pool or hot tub. Also, the women's bathrooms in the old pool area is inoperable. They had no boat rentals. No longer can claim a resort at all. That being said it was a beautiful marina trailer park. We were lucky enough to get a waterfront rv spot. Just beautiful. The club house was still kicking, and they have clean bathrooms.

They are always friendly and easy to work with. As an author, it is one of the places I frequently runaway to to clear my mind, refocus, and write.. Even though it is right by the Highway it’s generally quiet and peaceful.

The pool and hot tub haven't worked since the start of covid. The whole place took a dive in the last 15 years.. I took my kids on the dock and not only was the water disgusting 🤢 but the dock was in pretty bad shape rotting away.

25 years ago when this park was strictly a membership park, it was very well maintained. Members were able to get a site with no trouble with just a phone call except for major holidays. Since then, it has gone way downhill. Now, the park is open to everyone including long term residents. Before a member could only stay for a maximum of 14 days. I visited there as a member but was only able to stay for 9 days because I had to leave to free up the spot for someone else. I saw that about 75% of the people there were long term residents and that the majority of the lower waterfront sites were long term residents. I’ve been paying my yearly dues for the last 25 years so I have some $$ invested in this place. I have to wonder where the money goes. The pools and hot tub have not been in operation the past few times I was there. The vegetation was overgrown, electrical boxes in a state of disrepair as were the docks and boat ramp, and the list goes on. And if you look hard enough, you will find squatters camping on property owned by this “resort” back in the woods and out of sight. I routinely saw people going through dumpsters collecting pop cans and whatever else they wanted. I may stay here again if the need arises (it does have access to crabbing and fishing on the bay via the boat launch) but I don’t expect much more than what I have described above. It’s sad because this used to be a beautiful resort.

We had a great time, this will definitely be a go to location on the Coast.
